American Toys: Past and Present
American toys have been around as long as we can remember. In the beginning American toys were simple items such as balls, dolls, cars and trucks and believe it or not these American toys are still around today. If you think American toys, Barbie, Matchbox cars, Lego and GI Joes immediately to mind. If you have purchased one of these items when they first hit the market and kept them in good condition they are very valuable today. When you think about the American toy manufacturers Mattel and Playschool to the top of the list. These companies have a very long time and many people grew up playing with them, they have a big toy after another and continue to do so.
American toys have evolved over time just as everything in this magical world. They must be of interest to Children today in this high-tech world. You can now Barbie Amazing Adventures via your computer, or play with her many fashion outfits. Her family has been expanded and now includes friends, siblings and pets.
Matchbox cars have an online presence, they have changed the design of vehicles are offering some really far out of cars and trucks. Cool racing vehicles and vintage cars will always be popular. GI Joe is now almost extinct, which probably makes him one of the most valuable U.S. toys you can own. Lego got cool themes like pirates, knights in shining armor or sci-fi creatures.
Although these classic American toys are still available many more have been added to the list. Walk into any American home with children and find Lego, video games and plenty of high tech toys to entertain your child hours. Some children have even their own computer. Many American toys are modeled after characters on popular television shows such as Barney and Dora the Explorer. These characters often come and go and become more popular collectors' items, such as GI Joe and Barbie.
If you want a special toy that will keep you as a collector's item have the best idea is to hold it in its original wrapper. This will usually make it more valuable. But the real fun of American toys that children love to play with them and use them in the broadest sense. This to go, you can collect a toy and an identical one to play. Another option is to large, solid American toy that will hold up to any use of your kids dish out.
There certainly is a wide range of toys, both past and present. Children enjoy playing make believe from an early age, and continue to do so long after they are sometimes willing to admit. In fact, some parents have even been known to get on the floor and play with Tonka trucks and baby dolls with their children. It often appears that they have as much fun as their children. That's one way to U.S. toy are part of a happy family.

How to find the value of things?
Um, I have a lot of old collectibles, Barbies, and I wanted to know how much to charge for them if I were to sell them. Including: 1991 All-American Barbie and Ken.
First you go to eBay, type in Barbie Dolls, and to check whether someone else is selling the same dolls, and how much, and they are selling or simply listed with no buyers. The type of Barbie Dolls on Google and see what comes up. Check your area for antique dealers, selling dolls, and if you be found, call them and ask, or just go there and check it out.
