Not to win – a Great American Story
I recently stumbled upon on Article posted by ABC World News reported on an Oregonian company owner named Bob Moore. Up a few weeks ago, Bob was the owner of the multi-million dollar family-run, whole grain foods company, "Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods. On the age of 81, and after thirty years of building and running his business, Bob Moore decided it was time to move on and start a new chapter of his life.
This is where the twist comes in …
When faced with the decision of what to do with the company, Bob finally decided he just could not sell to a "foreigner". On the contrary, he felt that his company was among the people who built it. Bob Moore graciously full ownership of its multi-million dollar business through an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Program) gave his 209 employees, or as he calls them his "second family".
There was another component to this story besides generosity Bob that I noticed. One thing that Bob said that grabbed my attention was this quote: "Here's what I know about America, it's probably the only place in the world that I could this wonderful opportunity in business, mistakes, are failing. then succeed. "Along the same lines, even Bob said:" You can sell your home, take your money, and test the waters by doing something you believe in, "he said." And maybe you'll be successful and maybe you will not, and that's what business is for me, and I failed. "
As a small businessman, I can not only to Bob's take on the prevention and the importance of failures, but it also serves as a major source of hope and confidence for me. If he can make mistakes, fail and then succeed, well then so can too! In fact I'm already halfway there! I am also facing the challenge of building a company that provides a service that I am passionate, and I fully believe in (GAIN Life Global). During the start-up and early stages of building my company, I quickly learned that building a meaningful business is not easy, it's not a fight-free, and it is not served on a silver platter with a pile of "easy buttons". But … I'll tell you what it is. " Building a company to reward meaningful, challenging, fulfilling, fun and above all, full of freedom and dreams!
Thanks Bob, I am grateful for the inspiration you provided me. I also aim to make mistakes, fail, and be so successful that I can give it all back!

What Indians Sasquatch stories of creation?
