Babies Skin Care
A newborn skin is soft and delicate. A good skin care and bathing can help maintain the health and texture of the skin the baby. It is important to understand that to take care of the baby's skin the most natural way is often the best. Newborn babies may have some skin conditions that seem unusual for you. Most are quite common like Baby acne is a red, pimply rash on the face. In general, it disappears in time. Cutis marmorata is a condition where the skin looks like pink and blue marble when exposed to cold temperatures. Erythema toxicum is a common, splotchy red rash that may affect newborns. Some have fixed yellow or white bumps surrounded by a blaze of red. The rash tends to come at different parts of the body. Vernix is a white fatty substance that coats and protects the baby's skin in the womb of the mother. Some babies are born with lots of vernix still on their skin.
Milia are small eaters on your baby's face. The is harmless and can be washed or wiped. Crusty patches on scalp. Overactive glands in your baby's scalp can cause cradle cap. If so, use a mild soap with olive, coconut, palm or oil and possibly herbal extracts such as calendula. Contrary to popular thought, most babies should be bathed only two or three once a week or every other day. Baths can be given any time of day. Swimming for a food often works well. Sponge baths are required at first. Bathed in a tub of water should wait until the baby's umbilical cord falls off, and a baby boy circumcision heals, to prevent infection. Contact dermatitis can develop after your baby's skin comes into contact with something irritant or allergic to them. Keep your child's skin moist. After bathing, apply moisturizer within three minutes to retain moisture in the skin. Avoid sudden temperature changes.
Avoid using soap if possible and do not scrub skin with washcloth. If soap is needed, use a mild, moisturizing, unscented soap. Heat rash baby skin problems and also causes small bumps on the skin that can occur when your baby overheats. To keep your baby comfortably cool by dressing him in loose, light cotton clothing, especially in hot, humid weather. Massaging lotions and oils in your baby's skin can relieve irritation. But whatever you use must be free of petrochemicals, them irritants. Premature baby's skin is more sensitive, so it is important to all products to refuse to approach their maturity, so their skin takes longer to mature. If your baby is late, then his / her skin dry and cracked. Not be tempted to use any creams or lotions. As night itching is a problem, use of a cold, damp washcloth to soothe the child's skin.
Baby Skin Care Tips
1. Babies need to clean skin and ensures a healthy function during their growth.
2. Humidity causes macerations. Do not use talcum powder. It is abrasive and irritates the skin.
3. Protect baby's skin from sunburn as well as associated problems such as freckles and premature wrinkles.
4. Avoid frequent baths for eczema.
5. Keep baby's skin from drying and itchy by adding non-allergenic oil in the bathwater.
6. If your baby has seborrheic dermatitis, a mild hydrocortisone cream (0.5%) is safe and usually effective.
7. Applying petroleum jelly or an unscented cream with zinc oxide on the skin of the diaper to protect and lubricate for diaper rash.
8. Avoid using baby powder or talc.

How can I cure a slider respetory infection in a baby red-eared without turing up the heat in my room?
I have a baby red eared slider in my room and respetory has developed an infection. I cannot tempeture the hight in my room because my brother and my parents always complaining the side of him. The turtle has a gaping mouth and nurture the whole day, unless I get near the tank. (It always runs away with a human presence in the tank, only about 5 mouths old after all) My parents refuse to take him to a vet because its expencive and im only 13 years old and I dont have the money for a vet bill …. Please help?
