The sex of Toys
Girls have dolls. Boys need figures. Action figures. But guess what? Its still a doll. We just cannot bring ourselves to free our sons to tell them to go and pick up their doll under the sofa. It's been drilled into us since birth. Okay, so what about the guy who wants to play with dolls? Is he destined to grow to gay or experience gender confusion? It is possible, but that would happen, whether he is permitted to play with dolls or not. You can not lead to a more male boy handing him a toy gun and you can not make more female girl by handing her a Barbie doll. We respond to kids who want traditional opposite sex toy experience with our own fears and discomfort. It is a pity (although not a necessary) for the father who is trying to admit that his son would rather play with his sister and her girlish toys are then came out with his father roughing it around with a football. There is a feeling of disappointment and fear of the future.
In most cases children experiment with the opposite sex toys or just curious, are weeding their own feelings about ideas and concepts that have nothing to do with sexuality or just a harmless phase. We dont worry too much about a girl who wants to play football, but we march the boy was found playing with make-up of his mother to the nearest psychologist.
When my son was about three run, all he wanted for his birthday was an easy bake oven. When he opened it (a gift from a friend the family) his eyes lit up like he was on fire and he cried: "My Eeeeeeeeasy Bak" and he loved it. He also played football the following year. He loves to cook and that's all it boils down to. The company decided that Easy Bake Ovens and therefore should be pink for girls. If it is a neutral color, people would have reacted a little differently. Easy Bake Oven but are made members of my family uncomfortable.
Children are pretty slippery creatures, picking up just as much on what adults around them in order to neglect often say what they do say. There is more harm done in making an abnormal child from playing the "wrong toys" than there is in his or her experiments. It may be a little disconcerting for a parent when their child seems drawn to toys of the opposite sex, but at the same time can be very liberating for the child. There Nothing wrong with a man to keep his weight in the kitchen and can sew his buttons on his pants and there's nothing wrong with a woman who has learned to use her brain on her good looks to achieve things in life. These properties begin with the children playing with toys when they are young.
We expect that girls start beautification of himself at a young age. We give them dolls to practice on, play makeup and dresses in climbing. This is fine for some girls who enjoy the process. There is nothing wrong with enjoying your own sex. However, for the girl who would rather read a good book or paint her nails, it can expect a little overwhelming. The same rings true for boys, because there are those who think gardening and baking are the two best hobbies in the world and are simply not interested in throwing a baseball around. With non-gender-related toys in the house or a mix of men and women using toys in the house is one of the best ways to handle the situation. Normalizing kids' toys makes everyone, especially the child more comfortable. Maybe on one day Junior feels like whipping up some of those really great chocolate chip cookies that Easy Bake Oven is an extract and the next day he to find worms for the garden. There is not one woman in the world who complains because her husband to help in the kitchen. So the boys their caring side access does not mean they will prove gay. They just might prove to be incredibly loyal and committed fathers. Allowing girls to their intelligence and their strength of perceptual ability to access does not they will prove inadequate. It means that they will succeed in life have achieved through their faculties and no one could claim that they slept their way to the top.
Life's expectations are changing. What is actually acceptable is changing. Our fears are the last on the list easy to change. It is a pity, really, how our own fears inhibit our ability to have children themselves and the world around them to learn in a free and unstructured manner. We teach them at such a young age that she a role to fill and are designed for those who deviate somehow futures of accidents and embarrassment.
