How can I get a "curly tail" hairstyle to a barbie doll?
I think I need to thin the back of the head of her doll in order to a streamlined scale finished looking ponytail. I just do not know how to go or how to do this correctly. This particular doll is a modern barbie. Big hair and an nice pattern with the root side swept front. Perfect for the original look of the first ponytail barbies it. Any help would be so appreciated. Thank you! 
You need:-Cut up a straw in at least 1 "pieces (I think a large will be good for this particular style)-A few bobby pins (at least two for each straw)-head-pin-boiled water and cold water opt: small heater, hair spray * You will use the straws, pins and bobby pins and ponytail Old Fashion Hair rollers. Wash your hair, condition good, and give her one. While her hair is still wet, grab a straw, roll the end of the ponytail (roll as much as you like, depending on how long a cycle you want) on the straw, stick a bobby pin on either side of the straw to her place and pick up a few pins and stick them through your hair and straw so that the pen is in her head and keeps the straw in place. I think it would help if you gave the doll a quick "half tail" (give her half the tail with half elastic, so you do her hair again after you finish doing) enough so that her hair is increased by straw are placed on her head. After, dip her head (not her face!) In boiling water and rinse it around for a bit then put it in cold water to curl set and do the same. Place her somewhere where she will not be so disturbed that her hair is completely dry (its best to do it at night so the hair is dry when you wake up in the morning if you're an impatient person). If you do not want to wait a full day, her in front of a heater and put her head occasionally to prevent the melting of the hair. Do not use a hair dryer because it will ruin the hair do and make little hairs out of place. Once the hair is completely dry, you can either spray while the straw is still in place (let spray dry), but I think that her curls are better off when the straw before spraying her hair so you can see and fix the curl if needed fixed. You do not use hairspray on all but the curls come undone after a while, so better to just use hairspray. * You can style any curl (I have a pop at Victory Rolls and it looks cute!), But make sure you pay attention to her hair type. Newer dolls come with soft bristles that can withstand boiling water, but older dolls come with thicker hair that even bursting with only steam.
