What is the best type of paint to use on plastic toys (barbie doll)?
What kind of paint is the most permanently for painting on plastic dolls like Barbie's? Do I need a top coat to seal?
I'm a pop artist. My one of a kind Barbie dolls in the October 2004 edition of Barbie Bazaar magazine, and my Obitsu dolls are on the covers of "Pretty Little Liars" series of books. You will need acrylic paint. With oil will cause the vinyl deteriorate over time and using any kind of email (including spray paint) will only lead to stickiness, because the paint will never dry. Many pop artists agreed that the best and easiest paint to use Golden Fluid Acrylics, and then you want to) use a very small brush (I like the Loew Cornielle thumbnail brushes in sizes 18 / 0. Remember always thin your paint to paint your doll. Five or six thin coats is much better than a thick, goopy layer, although it takes more time to paint in layers. You go look for a factory, and as such, you never want to see every brush stroke. Golden and Liquitex some very nice sealers. You want to use a matte sealer eyeshadow, and you want to use a sealer gloss for eyes. Lips are sealed in glossy, matte or satin, depending on your preference.
