A beautiful Acrobat – A threatening gorilla – A gruff keeper – a ruthless side to show ownership – A tough Barker – A jealous girlfriend. Everyone could see the murderer of a former employee was brutally murdered in the tent of the "Goliath the Giant Gorilla" side show attraction.

For an independent production, Gorilla at Large was no lack of talent, including both veteran actors and rising stars. Cameron Mitchell had been nominated for an Oscar for his portrayal of Happy Loman in 1951 screen version Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman. Anne Bancroft, Gorilla was her fifth film under contract to 20th Century Fox. Lee J. Cobb was a prolific screen career and two Oscar nominations, the first received for On the Waterfront, was the same year as gorillas in general. impressive height of Raymond Burr, dark and brooding posture often looks landed him the role of the villain. Lee Marvin had begun his film career in Hollywood in the early 1950 playing mostly villains or agents, as in Gorilla.
George Barrows played the gorilla "Goliath", one of the many gorilla roles in his film and television career. The most notorious of these was the stranger as "Ro-Man" in Robot Monster (1953), a 3-D production, which he wore a gorilla suit with a diving helmet on his head.
Production
Gorilla At Large production was Now instead Pike Amusement Park in Long Beach, California. The crew had to use the park from midnight until morning about one week.
Although released by 20th Century Fox, the film was actually made by Leonard Goldstein Panoramic Productions. The idea behind the deal was made between the two companies was that Fox would focus and leave CinemaScope films, and a panoramic would be their supplier of the Academy and wide flat rate movies. The only other 3-D production released or produced by Fox was the last Inferno year, with Robert Ryan and Rhonda Fleming.
Rather than make several posters for the 2-D and 3-D release of this film just a flat (not 3-D) poster was made. Snipes poster with "3-D" were designed to be used on the posters for theaters with 3-D version. It was common to the point that the film was released, because fewer theaters, books 3-D stereoscopic film in their form.
Reception
Bosley Crowther of The New York Times called "Gorilla at Large" a "straight scoop melodramatic muck about murder and other foreign derivation in an outdoor amusement park. "
TV Guide said: "This often hilarious 3-D thriller stars Bancroft as a trapeze artist in a theme park with the top attraction is a wild gorilla.
Matt Singer of Cinema Rogue thought "Even with the many ruined and blunders, there really is something beautiful "Gorilla at Large".

Billy Curtis, one of the Munchkins from The Wizard of Oz had an uncredited role as a midget clown / carnival worker.
According to Hal Erickson Allmovie: "Whenever Mel Brooks wanted to get an increase of wife Anne Bancroft during their joint talk show appearances of the year 1970, Brooks would bring the subject of Gorilla at Large. Easily the low point of Ms. Bancroft's movie career …."

Availability
A double projection polarized 3-D print of "Gorilla at Large" was screened at both the 3-D World Expos, the majority during the Second World 3-D Expo recently on September 17, 2006 in the American Cinematheque's Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, Ca. and the "3-D at the Castro" film festival October 17, 2006 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, California.

I have four Barbie dolls 1994 Hollywood legends, two butlers and two Scarlet Rhett o'haras. What is the best way to go about selling this? Hwo do I find out how much they are worth?
Unfortunately Luv, the collectible market as a whole has gone soft with the economy. Seems people prefer to eat these days than to spend money on non-needs. That said, you do a search on Ebay for the past sold items in the category and see dolls and bears what these dolls have sold in the recent past. That gives you an idea of what they sell.
