Missing the Target: The Worst lyrics in music
Many say that writing lyrics for a song should not be too difficult. Unfortunately. The lyrics of the song be apt to good use and techniques used in good writing. But not all songwriters remember this, so they end up writing the worst song lyrics ever. To prove how bad can it be song lyrics, here are some of the texts studied by esteemed music magazines and experts as one of the worst ever. This list contains lyrics of respected songwriters who have written some of the best lyrics and the best music ever created. This shows that even people who have some of the best songs ever written can have a some hideous creations every now and then.
"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" by The Beatles
The Beatles is not just a band, their music is the music industry affected worldwide, and their range can still be felt even today. Still, when one reads the lyrics of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", one might consider about their position in the music world, if only for a few seconds. The lyrics to "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" (example: "Desmond has his barrow in the market … / Molly is the singer in a band … / Desmond says to Molly "Girl, I want your face" / and Molly says this as she takes him by the hand … / Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on, brah Lala how the life goes !…/ …") is nowhere near the achievements of the texts of some of their lesser numbers. "She Bangs" by Ricky Martin
