The Yin and Yang of Asian Decor
Who says you would pay is worth the savings, the quiet mystique of Asia to explore? With a some renovations and some bits and pieces here and there, you can transform your living space with a look that the peaceful atmosphere of a Thai spa or a minimalist Japanese-inspired home reflects. Although different cultures on the other hand, these different Asian countries come together with a similar design schemes. It is a common practice nowadays for people to embrace the key elements of each cultural area. Arrange them together in a mixture that is really spectacular and unique Asian and at the same time.
Now Before you begin the pursuit of Chinese silk curtains and pots, there are some tiny details you should think about first.
Will you swear trim down any excess clutter in your home? Are you willing to expose your chaotic space for something relatively free of unnecessary "things"?
Are you in plain furniture? What about cladding and windows minus all the fancy trimmings? Remember in the Asian interior, there is no room for luxury Victorian inspired bedspread – less is more every time.
And another thing, get ready for an explosion of green, blue and beige, with some surprise streaks of shimmering gold and crimson pieces. These are the popular colors that Asian styles dominate. Are you a Barbie fanatic or a huge Barney fan? Then you might want to reconsider, as the Asian designs are known for their affinity for pink or purple.
So you think you can deal with this major must-do's? If so, let's get started with capturing the essence of a warm and relaxing Asian inspired retreat, starting with these simple steps.
First, do away with all the frills and trendy furniture that you already have. You need a space that is relatively spacious and simple. Ready to give away all your beloved lacy tops. Then enter a clear setting for your design by painting your walls in shades of beige and green bamboo. In Instead of blinds, why not use bamboo to shade the area from too much sun? Hand-woven mats and Asian rugs can also take the place of your regular carpet.
Once that's done, you can now start recording other stuff to complete your Asian theme. However, you might find this a bit difficult, because there are different styles and cultural designs to choose from. You can go totally Chinese or choose something that has an Indonesian atmosphere. It depends entirely on your preference. Decide on a certain type of Asian style that best reflects who you are. Remember the guests do not walk into your house feel like they are in a part of the national museum. Make sure your personality echoes throughout your home design. Still confused? Do not fret, it's very easy to combine themes of the styles that you feel comfortable with.
When it comes to giving your bedroom the Asian treatment, here are some useful tips. Instead of a fancy headboard why not use a bed frame that is lower than your usual preference. It would be nice for a little experiment. Throw your floral printed bed cover on and replace it with a simple quilt. Then throw in a couple of pillows with Asian designs to complete the look. A flat bench in the corner of the room can also serve as a table for study or other purposes. You can also use a few candles or lucky bamboo plants and to improve the mood for meditation. Complimenting this setup, a beautiful oriental painting or scroll pinned to the wall would pretty much do the trick.
With regard to your living room or dining room, There are a few suggestions that I would like to offer these rooms feel doubt "Asian". To begin with, why not discard your usual sofa set for something that has simple straight lines? An alternative dining institution would also involve having a low table with a number of plus-size pillows instead of your chairs.
