Our lives are increasingly mobile and our cell phones are not just a way to contact anyone, anywhere but our agendas, cameras, photo albums, inboxes, maps, weather, dictionaries, and entertainment. Pay phones disappear as business users furious edit documents on their Blackberries, children with the text together in class instead of passing notes and celebrities partner with handset manufacturers. We take our cell phones for granted now, but it was not so long ago that a mobile phone was like a snow leopard – rare, expensive and exotic. So what happened? What were the technologies that really changed the playing field for mobile phones? How have our systems of communication have changed over the past three decades?

10.1999 – Working Woman Barbie magazine and partner of the Working Woman Barbie release.
Complete with file organizer, large purses, laptop and coffee mug Barbie's remarkable here is her cell phone accessories included. Also comes with a CD-ROM which allows girls to create business cards, stationery, calendars, WWBarbie said slogans such as "Going to work is fun!" Working woman Barbie helped broker the deal between toys and technology, the mobile phone and made an in-demand must have a whole new generation of young girls. Current children's toys are a host of games mobile phones, but Barbie broke the dam.
9.2002 – Danger Hiptop / Sidekick TMobile has been released.
The Hiptop / Sidekick appears in full HTML support and online connectivity, a 240 x 160 LCD, USB, POP3, a camera connector and a slick 180 flip screen that reveals a full QWERTY keyboard. Although not just super-smart, it was the only cell of his time to the factory to incorporate an IM client, making it very popular with deaf users. In 2003, the Sidekick was the first mobile, which can take place without help and TTY Relay Operator calls using the browser. It was, as they say, hip with the kids. Veronica Mars even had one, and if it's good enough for a fictional teen sleuth, it is surely good enough for the cool kids on the bus.
8.1996 – Motorola StarTAC appears.
Noticed a flip handset they are small size (must enter chuckle here), the StarTAC can receive text messages, use a lithium-ion battery and had the first vibrating alert feature on a phone. This was to telephony what color was on the television. Initially set at a $ 1,000 prize, the StarTAC was so popular in 2004 revived for a South Korean market and redesigned for a VIP 10th Anniversary Edition. Handsets divided into two categories: Flip and candy bar, appeared in the movie 8mm with Nicholas Cage and paved the way for the Razr.
7.1987-Wall Street / Gordon Gekko
Michael Douglas' Gordon Gekko flaunts his wealth with his super-hip FY8850 mobile (on a beach, with his shirt unbuttoned, of course) on Wall Street. A character that greed, wealth and power embodies his casual use of the technology elite in an era marked by brand state makes a clear statement about the gap between technology haves and have-nots. In the past 20 + years, mobile phones have evolved from film product placement, frustrating for victims in horror films with a poor reception inevitably become part of the plot. In 2004, both the Chinese film mobile phone and the William H. Macy dud Cellular were released, gave us 2008 One Missed Call.
6.1991 – Radiolinja, the first GSM network in Finland opens.
Radiolinja will Finland, with the speed upgrade is the first American in 1994. Now we're talking. The advantages of the 2G digital upgrade gave users digitally coded telephone calls and mobile data services. Ah, digital. We talk faster, leaner, cleaner, consumes less battery capacity, providing enhanced user privacy. It also brought the term "call down 'in popular lexicon, while an end cloned cell numbers. It was a short stop from 2G to 2.5G (bundling brings WAP, MMS, email and web access) than a hop, skip and a jump to 2.75G/EDGE (which backward compatible technology, so a faster data rates). 2G users begin to expect (at least) in their handsets.
5.2003 – Mobile business users get treated to the Palm Treo 600.
Noted because it is the most integrated PDA / cell phone combo of his time, this feature-rich handset had a 640 x 480 VGA camera, 32MB internal memory (and expansion slot), Wi-Fi adapter, USB, SMS, MMS, Email, P-Tunes MP3 Player, Kinoma video player, resistive touch screen and Palm's own OS and HTML browser (Blazer) and a backlit keyboard. Users can check their calendar while on the phone and call directly from the contacts list. The five-way navigation key was announced as a major innovation because users operate the Treo with one hand on, easily solidification of Palm's Place in the heart business users.
4.2001 – NTT DoCoMo launched the first commercial 3G network
Another first for NTT DoCoMo – using WCDMA technology, branded FOMA, DoCoMo's 3G mobile users allowed simultaneous use of voice and data services and higher data rates. 3G also offer enhanced security to networks because the handset was connected to the authenticity, addressing concerns about the weak spots, while mobile browsing. Monet Mobile Networks and Verizon helped the first commercial 3G in the U.S. in 2003. In 2007 there were 190 3G networks operating in 40 countries, with 154 HSDPA networks in 71 countries, cutting the path for mobile TV, video conferencing and location-based services.
3.2009 – Palm Palm Pre coming back.
Like the Razr did for Motorola, the Pre weather helped boost Palm in modern mobile word. After getting left in the dust, Palm picked himself up and right shimmied up a pebble-type design. With background notification, 3.1-inch multitouch display, 320 x 480 display, integrated IM, SMS, MMS, Wi-Fi, integrated GPS, a 3MP camera with LED flash, USB, 80 grams of memory and a freshly updated UI webOS, Pre also remembered its customer base and offered a customizable inbox and calendar / contact integration. The first mobile processor, a TI OMAP 3430 to use, and the first to have a wireless docking station, the touchstone.
2.2008 – HTC releases of the Dream – the first Android-based mobile phone.
The first Android phone finally appears in the form of the HTC Dream. With 256 MB, 3.2inch LCD touchscreen (320 x 480 resolution), integrated GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.2MP camera, expansion slot and the background, the Dream was built as a Linux-based, open-source iPhone challenger. Also called the TMobile G1, the handset include a full range of sweets Google: Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Maps, Google Talk, YouTube and a limited Google Docs. Often touted as the next with the Pre contender in a long line of "iPhone Killers" The Dream withdrew his application handy bar and went to BAT for a new non-Apple future. The latest incantation, Droid, Android wins enough of the ground.
1.2002 – American Idol premieres.

Any ideas for storing and organizing small barbie doll accessories?
My daughter got her first Barbie doll for Christmas and all type of tiny Accessories that come with them. Shoes, purses, crowns, sunglasses … Then there are the clothes. Does anyone have any great ideas on how to save these accessories?
Yes try a craft store or a sewing shop, I used one of those little plastic boxes with dividers that I used too little skeins cross stitch floss to organize, would these compartments are the perfect size for Barbie shoes and the like. I also remember when I was little I actually a little "cabinet" for Barbie clothes were. I know not if they're still such a thing, but it was pink of course, had a small lever, and if you got a long road, it had a small bar and I had little plastic hangers for the clothes. Ever noticed how much the word "small" when you talk about Barbie? Another good idea if you can not too pricey would be to find a dollhouse dresser, she can fold the clothes and put them away there. Have fun!
