The Top Five Rainy Day Activities
It's raining outside and you're bored today. Actually you are not bored, but you're really tired of hearing how bored your kids. They whine, they cry, they sulk, and you're losing. Why not turn off the television and try something out of the ordinary if your family has the rainy Day Blues?
1. Discover new toys. If your kids are like mine, they have a room full of toys that do not seem to play enough time to get. Perhaps they have forgotten how Like Barbie or GI Joe may be, or could not get more creative with blocks. If you sit down with your children and show them how fun it can be to combine toys or finding new things with old toys, you'll be the hero of the day.
For example, try using the blocks to a house for Barbie to outline on the floor. Let your imagination run wild as you room together and play house. If you are tired of a system, try another! Digging through the closet and find something not seen the light of day in a few months or years. If nothing in the toy box has a great appeal, new toys. A few blankets and a card table is a great fortress. A towel and a great imagination to make a nice magic carpet. Be creative!
2. Play online. There are many things to do on the computer that does not require constant supervision, as many of the traditional games can. Pull up a website as TheDollPalace.com and let your kids explore. The pictures on the site can inspire creativity. Online coloring pages of many of the fun and trendy dolls created on the site, so they are more interesting and exciting than the traditional coloring.
After trying out the pictures, play with doll makers on that site and try out different educational websites. There are tons of websites provided that teach various things or refer to games that are educational rather than edgy and inappropriate. The best part of all is that they are free!
3. Bake a storm. Kids love to bake things help. Digging into the pantry for some sugar cookies or cake mix and beat until a batch. Let the kids help stir and when the cookies or cupcakes cool, bring the sprinkles, food coloring and candy you can find. Have the children frost the creations and add all decorative elements. When finished masterpieces, everyone can enjoy!
4. Play a game together. Most people agree that board games, or even video games are a great way to spend time together, but they can be a bit hard to blow. If you pull out the Monopoly or Candy Land board for everyone and get the children are motivated, you will be on your way to a less stressful afternoon.
Not only will your children have fun as they count spaces and make wise real estate investments, they will have something to do that challenges the brains a bit. Throw in some popcorn and juice and you get to have a regular party!
5. Invite friends about. Just because you can not go outside to play does not mean friends can not come to the house to play. Inviting friends over is one of the easiest ways to a kid's boredom break. A friend brings exciting new prospects and makes even the most played game exciting again.
Let your children pick up the phone and call a friend. A quick ride in the car to pick him can only help you keep your sanity and give your child a chance to play with someone they have not seen in a while.

Put sugar, sprinkles going bad?
I have several Barbie sprinkles since my 2 year old and im 15 and always tempted to use them, but they are afraid not …??
I'm in my third yr at school and still make Christmas cookies with sprinkles that I used in elementary school. Sprinkles are not bad.
