Debunking The Russian Fairy Tale Wedding
The concept of mail order brides is much longer than the Internet, but the Net has become the preferred location for Finding a foreign partner. Each site says, "Russian women are extremely open-minded and tolerant of most anything, and every woman depicted on any site can easily become a beauty contest winner. These are certainly attractive selling points.
Oops, we're not supposed to talk about the sale! It is emphasized that the Russian woman is not selling these services, but only to find the man of their dreams to find so she can in every way possible. These Russian beauties do not mind living on a tight budget, will work if hubby wants, or to happily stay home and care for home and family, free of selfish career goals.
These women all seem to be highly educated, but they are not to marry a man much older and less attractive than themselves. Russian women are represented as accustomed to male dominance and sexism, so they are not hampered by the attitude of their foreign husbands. They have recruited extremely tolerant with an emotional temperature well below that of their Western counterparts. Longsuffering and patient, Russian women never lose their cool, even if their spouse has many mistresses!
So why this strange, low-maintenance creatures a strange man? Unfortunately, The number of women from the men in Russia (100 women for every 88 men), and single women are treated with minimal respect in the Russian culture. If you are not married are the age of 25, it's unlikely you'll ever marry. Instead of being doomed to a life of despair and lack of respect it is better to fly with a stranger in the hope of finding happiness in marriage abroad.
Do we really have to ask why the Western people would like a woman who has a limited knowledge of English and is touted as a Barbie doll who cooks and cleans married? Oh, if only real!
It is a fact, often times is not real. The 'free' listing on a Russian bride website can connect with a large number of hidden costs that arise later down the road. Some rumors that Russian brides are fronts for the Russian mafia. Other Russian bride websites have no brides at all. Men think they match the beautiful Anna in St. Petersburg, when indeed they are sending handsome pictures of themselves Ralph in Cleveland and is lifted from the air fares.
Russian women are advertised as "trim" when a more precise description can be "starved". Health problems related to poor nutrition and alcoholism generations is never mentioned. Abuse, neglect and poverty apparently have no adverse effect on these women, and they are still in the United States, mentally and physically intact despite the deprivation or torment they suffered as children and young adults. Pretty incredible, huh?
Yes, the whole concept on which 'Russian brides' is built is unbelievable. Talk to a Russian man and ask why Russian women want to come to the U.S. and U.S. men marry. Most will agree that it is because Russian women want to live like American women, not because they are just dying to hook up with an overweight middle-aged American man. This means that when settled in America, pretty Swetlana may decide she wants a career, delay child rearing, and take long holidays in the Sun

Flower girls and ring bearer gifts?
I have three bridesmaids and a best man. I do not want them to be jealous because something another does not. My flower girls aged 18 months, 4 years and 5 years, and my ring bearer was 6 years old. I wanted a unique and perhaps get a Ken and Barbie Bride Groom for them, but I am not sure if it would fit a Barbie for 18 months old. I looked up baby dolls, but no wedding themes. I thought about personal piggy banks, but the ring bearer maintains fire trucks and I can not find a fire truck bank. The yo-yo idea is cool but I also want something to marriage abstained. I need help.
