You love your cat the companionship they provide. A listening ear, lots of listening skills, and boundless affection are all great side benefits of cat ownership, but your cat can actually do more for you than you think. For young children and infants, exposure to cats at a young age can help children develop resistance to allergens and asthma.
Seniors and Cats
Older people often camaraderie, social connections and opportunities for recreation during their retirement. Owning a cat can be a great boost for health and happiness of a senior, making them a sense of purpose and the knowledge that they are needed.
Cats are ideal pets for seniors as they are relatively low maintenance compared to dogs. They do no formal exercise such as regular walk or constant trips to the backyard, because they make their own exercise routine during the game and limited their bathroom habits to a single area.
