Ballet dance is a form of theatrical dance that originated in France and gradually spread to England, Italy and Russia. It requires a high level of practice to be highly trained for this form of dance to be run, with the concentration. It requires the dancer to his qualities as strength, elegance, grace, patience and passion.
Ballet dance is distinguished from other forms of dance through the exact movements and formal gestures and postures. This form of dance is either done in a group or as a solo presentation, depending on the requirement of the story or theme. A musical score accompanies ballet along with costumes and attractive background effects to enhance the effect of performance.
Ballet was introduced in the 18th century and was on par with Opera in those times. The movements in this dance form were used to express emotions and story to support. Gradually ballets began to be story based and even romantic in nature. While women received only a minor role in the first days, women became the central figure in later years. This lady principal ballet dancer is a ballerina. Although the term ballerina is used to refer to any ballet dancer, it's actually the prestigious rank given to the best and outstanding dancer. Ballerino is the term used for the main ballet dancer.
Ballet dance usually accompanied by classical music and traditional dance called ballet classical ballet that was the main type of ballet based on traditional techniques. Depending on the area of origin is Russian, Italian and French ballet. Ballet dance is taught in ballet schools around the world. Classical ballet is a typical form of dance based on her graceful movements and its unique properties, such as pointe work, turn-out of the legs.
Classical ballet can boast of at least seven styles of training, a few popular ones Vaganova method Cecchetti method Royal Ballet School and the Royal Academy of Dance methods and Balanchine method. Other styles of dance like hip hop dance, modern ballet and contemporary ballet based on the techniques used in the typical classical ballet.
In a typical classical ballet, women wear pink or blue tights and a leotard and tiny skirt at a time, while men usually wear tights and a tight shirt or leotard. During the training, both men and women were flats and in due time women begin to wear pointe shoes during performances. Women are obliged to keep their hair off their shoulders tying them tightly in a bun or other convenient styles. This type of dress and its style is requested if it gives the dancer more freedom of movement and grace.
Today we see the form of ballet, if not the classical ballet but modern ballet or modern ballet. This form of dance ballet uses certain techniques of the typical ballet, but provides a better freedom of movement based on the concepts of modern dance of the 20th century such as turn-in of the legs as opposed to the emergence of the classical ballet.
