Closets Set

Is your self-esteem Buried in your closet?
There is absolutely no doubt that our society is much emphasis on what we look like places. Take a look at the magazines at the checkout at the supermarket. I guarantee you that at least one will be an article about losing weight, another will an article on the weight of The latest celebrities to get, weight loss or plastic surgery, and another will have pictures of all the latest clothing trends. How we look affects how we feel and how we feel affects the relationships we have with ourselves and others. If you do not feel good about yourself and your sagging self-esteem is to try a look at what is hanging in your closet. Seriously-take a look inside and really asses what is on there.
Are you wearing clothes that cracks, tears, stains or holes in it? Are you wearing clothes that are very tight, hoping to lose a few pounds? Are you wearing clothes that you are holding around your waist with a shoelace, document rope, together with safety pins cut? Is half of your closet filled with clothes that fit your 10, 15, 20 years ago that you only need 20 or 30 lbs to fit back in to lose? Are your toes by stabbing your socks? Tearing the elastic in your underwear? If yes, then it's time to clean your closet!
Wearing clothing that is dirty, torn, falling apart, and not fit you send messages to the following people:
- I do not value me so You do not have to.
- I did not take me seriously so you do not have to.
- I'm dressed this way because I do not want people close to me-me alone leave it!
- I am a failure.
As I write this I hear the excuses some of you have come up with when you are challenged with the idea of getting rid of the junky stuff in your closet:
- I do not need new clothes or shoes. My old are comfortable.
- I do not want something new.
- I do not have the time to go shopping.
- I do not have the money to buy myself anything.
Behind all these excuses is fear. Afraid that people will recognize your failures. Fear of stepping out of your comfort zone. Fear of how people will treat you when your looks. Fear dealing with people interested in you if you do not feel comfortable with yourself. Fear of the expectation that you keep up appearances, what if you can get your act together and yourself to look clean and presentable? My favorite excuse: This is the way I am, you can take or leave. If you present that option to people within the first 30 seconds of the meeting and guess what-99% of the time people go to leave and wonder why such large chip on your shoulder.
Clean your closet (and rest of your home) can be very therapeutic. Eliminating the things that may not fit and are broken as the abandonment of some of your failures. Think about it. If you walk into your box daily for the past 10 years and look at the jeans that do not fit you anymore, it's nice being beaten in the face daily weight you got, you're a slob, you will never lose weight-it's 10 years, you're such a failure! Who wants to voice their head on a daily basis. Invest in some new topics that are comfortable, you feel good, and that make you happy.
If your budget is limited you do not have too much money on clothes or appearance. Many cities have clothes with everything under $ 10. Often, these stores sell are three items for $ 10. You can go to thrift stores or consignment shops and often find new clothes with tags on them. A of the best gifts I ever received came from a thrift store. It was a real coach bag that my friend had a whole for $ 2.00. paid if you do not know what looks good or do not know how to throw together an outfit, ask one of your friends to go with you. Or, take a look at various magazines and draw pictures of the styles you want. Create a collection until you have an idea of what might look good together.
On a final note, everyone esteem dips from time to time. If that happens, you should take a look at your surroundings. The way you feel about how you look and how your life can greatly affect your level of self-worth.
Your command:
Choose a weekend to go through your closet. Weed out everything you have not worn in years past, when there is little chance you will wear in the coming years away to someone who can use it. Put anything that is worn or stained in a pile to give to a local animal shelter those old clothes and blankets used for rags. To select multiple items must be sewn or repaired, give yourself a deadline to get it done. If you do not get work, then your deadline to give away the stuff to charity, so you get a tax deduction.
Once you've done all the work, weeding the bad from the good things in your closet, set aside another day to window shop and try on some new things. After all, you deserve to feel good!

I want to leave my cat with my mother for the summer for her safety and comfort, but she is afraid of everything?
I took her last weekend and she has a whole walk in closet set up with litter, food, scratching post etc. This is my elderly uncles room where she resides. All they did all day was hiding under the bed, so I felt me badly and took her back home. She is very antisocial and afraid of everyone except me. Any advice? I would have her at least overnight, but could not when I saw her hide like that.
I often recommend people who might take several days for cats to feel comfortable in their new surroundings. tramatized when the travel and new places I would not do it again until you are ready to leave her. She will get used to your mom's house with enough food and encouragement, she would come even if your mom.
