what if I just had my regular clothes newborn with space for a washing detergent?

I just had a baby shower …. tons of clothes so I, and I just want to be washing clothes with my own space for a detergent instead of Dreft or newborn stuff …. is that okay? will not cause problems? has anyone of you do that no problem?

I use Tide free and clear, many other laundry detergents also no dyes or perfumes. My son does have a very sensitive skin, probably I will use it for a long time. I thought I had everything in the free and now clear, it's the same price as regular detergent, and so I do not have to worry about son of my sensitive skin reacts to my clothes, either.
