Baby sleep patterns
The newborn infant spends 75 percent of his time asleep. This is because an infant physiological sleep need is vastly different from that of an adult. Babies are also unique in that they are 50 percent of their daily sleep in REM sleep. Just after birth, babies just like two phases of have sleep: REM sleep and non-REM sleep.
Unlike adults, babies often move during REM sleep and stay still during non-REM sleep. For this reason, the REM sleep at this stage in life sometimes called active sleep, "and non-REM sleep is often called" quiet sleep. "Unfortunately, many parents have led to to believe that a baby can and should sleep like an adult. Still others have been told that they can "train" their babies to sleep as an adult.
None these two ideas is correct. Babies are unique in their physiological needs and patterns. Babies are not adults, and there's nothing you can do to transform them in adults at night. The transition from infancy to adulthood is eighteen or more years. Give your baby a baby, and both you and your baby will be much happier.
As your baby grows, her sleep patterns are evolving and more like those of older children, but just because your baby is four months old and has achieved some "Expert" says they no longer need to awaken to a night feeding, does not mean your baby is not you need when they wake up in the middle of the night. A human baby needs more only the need to be fed. He does not wake up just to annoy you and rob you of a good night's sleep.
A baby's physiology, very different from that of an adult or even an older child, that means he just can not adopt an adult sleeping schedule. A newborn baby, for example, has an almost constant need for food and company. A adult, however, has developed beyond the need for continuous power and can thrive on distributed three regular meals a day and an eight hour period of sleep at night times.

No, they are not always 100% correct. My aunt had a boy, after being assured she was with a girl. In many cases, it is usually the case of being told that one girl, a boy really, as some body parts may be hiding. They are not completely accurate, but more often than not, if they detect the sex early, and not an echo later, they can be pretty accurate. More correct than not.
