How Slinky Coils for Accessories or Dolls Crochet
Coils are easy to latch and can be used for many different accessories and toys to make. Remember those cute toy dolls with arms and legs like springs.
Different yarns produce different sizes of coils. Use cotton thread, metallic thread or baby yarn to very thin, delicate rolls. Use several thin coils of the same or different colors as accessories, purse handles, belts, chains necklace, gift wrap ties.
1. Crochet a chain about 5 times as long as you want your finished coil.
2. Make three stitches in each fasting, your choice of stitch will determine your width, double or half double crochet stitch.
3. If you work, rinse the curls.
4. Cast off.

Warning:
Be careful not to add or drop a stitch.
Always leave enough yarn at the end to sew your pieces together.

What is the difference between the hook and cotton fingering weight yarn?
I found a pattern for crocheted string bag (like a shopping bag), but can not figure out what fingering weight yarn? Can anyone help me?
Never mind. All you need to do is make sure the two are the same thickness. Accuracy do not count, because it does not "fit" thing. It's just a bag. My only thought is that a polymer would parctical more than cotton.
