what is the working principle of laser hair removal?
Laser and IPL -based methods, sometimes phototricholysis or photoepilation, are now usually referred to collectively as laser hair removal. One of the first published articles describing laser hair removal written by the group at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1998.
The efficacy of laser hair removal is now generally accepted in the dermatology community, and laser hair removal is widely practiced. Many reviews of laser hair removal methods, safety and efficacy have been published in the dermatology literature.
Mechanism of action:
The primary principle behind laser hair removal is selective photothermolysis (SPTL). Lasers can cause localized damage by selectively heating dark target matter, (melanin) in the area of hair growth causes (the follicle), while not heating the rest of the skin. Light is absorbed by dark objects, so laser energy can be absorbed by dark material in the skin (but with much more speed and intensity). This dark target matter, or chromophore, can be naturally occurring or artificially introduced.
Hair removal lasers selectively targeting melanin
Melanin is considered the primary chromophore for all hair removal lasers currently on the market. Melanin occurs naturally in the skin (it gives skin and his hair color). There are two types of melanin in hair: eumelanin (which gives hair brown or black color) and pheomelanin (which gives hair blonde or red color). Due to the selective absorption of photons of laser light, can only be black or brown hair removal.
Laser works best with dark coarse hair. Light skin and dark hair are an ideal combination, but new lasers are now capable of dark black hair even target in patients with dark skin.

How can I dye my dark brown hair lighter?
Okay, I have dark brown hair and I want to dye a lighter brown, without turning redish! Will it even do something because I have such dark hair? I do not have the money to get it professionally done, so I have to buy from the store. suggestions on how I should go about this?
WELL natural pigment in the hair RED. You can not avoid the red, but you can handle passed. Heres a few options. If you have not dyed your hair ever you can choose a lighter shade of tan and your hair will lift to the desired look. You wont find bleach in the supermarket. And i really dont recommend the market box colors, because it has a large amount of amonia which is harmful to your hair.
