How should I Burl grain mill to maximize the?
I'm making pens and acquired a rough Burl Olive Wood that is dried. It is about 3 inches wide, a foot long and one meter high. Where is the most decorative grain to the best pens to turn?
I'm not sure what you mean, but I make pens sometimes when I have a beautiful piece of wood with a lot of grain. The Burl that I get is usually much too large to cut pen, so I make bowls or cups. I've never had so I Olivewood can not say too much about it.
