Doll Eyes
Can you Zapf Baby Born doll eyes?
I have the older model and the eyes went pink (does not look so good). I want to change the color by changing the eyes with a number of acrylic doll eyes that you can buy. Has anyone done this before? Any idea about the shape of the eyes (oval or round) and size (measuring 18mm in mine, but I I need to get something bigger?)
I used to repair U.S. person Zapf dolls, but they moved everything back to Germany, you can write and ask them to spare you some sleep eyes. you have to head off cute and the back of the socket in the head and eyes pop out. then a new pair. Or you can go the charity to find a doll with eyes the same size and shape than the harvest eyes, and put them in your pop. or I have had great success painting over the old face with acrylic paint using of very fine brushes using many colors. Then for the last step I used Golden gloss sealer, they turn out wonderfully. hope this will help some
