I suggest paper-mache. Are fun and anyone can do in the fact that I used to do when I was about 5 years old. You can do almost anything using this technique and its quite simple, as long as you have the patience to sit there and make something Small note. Another good thing about it is that you do not need a lot of materials, like paper (usually newspaper first), a homemade pasta and some paint to finish it off.
