Dolls House Furniture: A 7 Piece Bathroom For Beth Doll's House
A dollhouse is not just a doll – it's a whole new world for the lucky girls their own special house. I got one when I was a young sixty years and now my granddaughter is old enough for her own dollhouse I'm back watching those special little world.
It is the same – furniture to scale, that is really too big for the scale. I've never seen a dollhouse furniture can all fit in the room that it must be comfortable living. I think that part of the charm of a dollhouse .
It took quite a pleasant, while to choose, but we bought a beautiful wood and 7 pieces porcelain bathroom last week with the anniversary of Beth's money. Bath, shower, toilet, set of drawers, towel, mirror and sink, she looked really good, even if they were in Beth's favorite color pink. If bathroom walls are green Beth decided we need refurbishing soon.
We got home from the city and went to the serious business of the establishment of the bathroom and no matter what we did, we could not fit all the furniture in. After several failed attempts we decided to put the shower in the master bedroom. Beth was not happy with that, she said the bed was wet and dad pop would not be able to get out of bed on his own side.
She had not noticed that daddy doll was too big for the bed and I was not going to break that bubble!
I suggested we leave the bath to have a modern bathroom with shower only. Beth said that we could do nothing because the kids play with their dolls boats and ducks. I saw her point and it's doll house and dolls were part of the real world, but you can not help but humor 6-year-old girls.
The next idea that we had was to leave the drawers. I was surprised that we do not think that in the first place because it is the most logical idea. Beth took the drawers out and rearranged the furniture to the rest of them happy was the result. The bathroom looked great, everything needed for the finishing touch of the carpet, bath mat and towels and I knew exactly where I could get it.
I Beth had to play with the set of drawers – she was amazed to open the drawers, just like the real world, but she was struggling to get something to fit in the drawers, despite trying most of her doll clothes.
I logged onto my computer and found a site that had printable dollhouse accessories. It was not long before I get a pink and gray carpet, that I printed on fabric. Then I printed on a pink carpet fabric and cut it down on a mat making. I had a brainwave and other printed pink and gray carpet, and using some elastic thread made of a pair of matching curtains. I was able to get some towels from the fashion of the remaining pieces of pink carpet and they did not look too bad.
I went back to where Beth was playing with the dolls and found Beth happily chattering away to her dolls when she moved them around their house.
"Oh" I said, "Why you have the drawers back and pelvis in the bath? "
"There was nowhere to put the towels" Beth replied that logical way of hers.
I smiled to myself when we have the new soft furnishings. It did not matter to six years old Beth that the furniture does not fit, she was just happy with her new dollhouse furniture to playing with her own little world.
