The Bobblehead Doll – a cultural icon
The bobblehead doll is a type of doll with its head (which is often oversized compared to its body) connected to its body by a spring, so that tapping the doll will cause the head to wobble. This type of doll is also known as a 'bobbing head doll', 'wobbler', or 'Nodder'. These dolls dating back to ancient Japan and China, where they were made with flexible strips instead of springs. Today dolls are more directly descended from German 'Nodder' dates from the late 18th century, which were made from ceramic or bisque, and ranged in height from about 6 to 8 inches. These dolls were popular in America until about 1930 when interest in them began to fade.
Modern bobblehead dolls first appeared in the 1950s and were originally made of papier-mâché, and then from ceramic. Although the ceramic dolls were popular, they were quite expensive and were primarily considered as collections items. Ultimately, however, manufacturers started making the dolls from plastic, making an expensive process, so the dolls more affordable.
Early dolls were made for animals and popular cultural characters appear, and were often used as advertising icons and automobile accessories (one very popular such doll was that of the dashboard 'hula girl'). Around 1960 Japanese-made papier-mache "Baseball" Bobbleheads began to be imported into America. These early pieces were generic figures that teams and their mascots, rather than individual players. Normal speaking, the dolls for all teams the same, except that they would be wearing the uniform for the specific team appears. During this time there were a few dolls made to some of the more famous players of the day to represent, but they differed from their respective team dolls only by the uniforms they wore. In the year 1990, the dolls began to be made of plastic, which greatly reduced their costs, and simplifies many variations of dolls to specific cultural figures and other notable people to represent. After 2000, many different variations of the dolls began to appear, and some companies began to dolls that can be customized to buyers specifications to offer. Modern dolls that represent specific individuals closely resemble those individuals, even including things like headbands, scars, tattoos and hairstyles.
The greater variety of dolls and their reduced costs, again, she made a very popular item and the resurgence of interest in collecting them. Today bobblehead dolls have become an integral part of our culture. They have truly become one of the most recognizable cultural icons in the world.

As the previous person said, look on ebay. Also, google collector's sites, as they sometimes price guides or list items for sale. Just because something is listed at a certain price does not mean that people pay, but it gives you a guide. On ebay, do not assume that the price is fixed until after the auction. They can double in the last 60 seconds. Check completed auctions under Advanced Search to see if any have recently sold and what they sold for. If you really want to sell your doll, you might consider contacting a reputable arge entertainment memorabilia auction house that sells (such as Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland, etc.) and ask for an assessment and if they would sell it for you. Before hand, make sure that your percentage of the auction will be worth. Find out what they cost. Check out what kind of prices they usually get. Not sell the doll just anybody. If an antique or collectible dealer offers you a lot, you can be sure they will sell it to someone else for double or more what they pay you. Why not avoid the middle man and get more profit for yourself? You can donate a portion of the one of MJ's charities. Or donate the doll to a charity and let them sell.
