Balance of Power, spiritual significance of the Declaration of Independence
As we begin the month of July, we are reminded of our country bid for independence which began over 200 years ago after the American Revolutionary War. In 1776, there was no balance of power, Britain controlled everything. A general feeling of inequality road ground for life-changing events. Americans were much more suppressed and thus the original thirteen colonies decided it was time to separate the Kingdom of Great Britain. They signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, commemorating the first year of America's independence from destructive forces. Since that time there were fireworks associated with annual leave.
At equilibrium is off, usually follows accidental. Many philosophers and teachers throughout history have been attributed to the value of balance in all areas of life. I've found that without balance, things can go askew. Without balance fireworks disastrous.
Many summers ago, I took my niece, who was only two years old, to the movies. They wished to see the Care Bears movie and I wanted to give experience its the full movie. Although I do not like popcorn, I knew she loved it and would expect some goodies to eat while watching the show. Therefore, when we arrived, we went straight to the kiosk where I bought her a bucket of popcorn and a few drinks for the two of us.
We went into the theater and took our seats. She wanted to sit in her own chair. The theater we visited was equipped with the standard folding variety theater seating-a chair made of two pieces hinged together. There were no cup holders on the seats. As we approached our desired location within the dimly lit room, I carefully unfolded her chair with one foot free, and motioned them down Plop in.
But I soon discovered that its size and weight were insufficient to open the chair. The seat sections were not as balanced as the bottom seat requires more weight to keep the fastener. As I let go of her chair with my foot, it quickly crumpled together, making them wedged between the back and seat bottom. She immediately began screaming.
I decided to pick her up and her in my lap. However, with a two years old, along with a bucket of popcorn and two soft drinks was more than I could. I came up with a plan that I thought would work. I sat in my chair, and temporarily drinks and popcorn on the floor. Then, I lifted my niece in her own chair right next to me while I am sitting astride the underside of her chair with my outstretched left leg, making it enough support to keep her safe.
Though I was uncomfortable in that position, I was convinced that this plan would suffice. Therefore, I immediately bent down, picked up the popcorn and gave it to her. Within moments, she started chomping down on a buttery snack. Comforted that all was in order, I settled into my chair and started looking at her will, in awe of the joy in her eyes when the theater suddenly started playing movie trailers on the huge screen that stood before us. She turned to me and enthusiastically said, "Aunt Cindy, I want that big screen TV!"
I laughed to myself and realized I had not grabbed the drinks from the floor. I leaned over to pick them up. As I did, my outstretched leg shifted unexpectedly. In a fraction of a second, to my surprise and horror, the two separate parts of the seat of my niece hit together wedging her between them. It happened so fast and with such force that the popcorn bucket she literally flew into the air company, similar to fireworks.
In shock, she sat there like a ragdoll. The people behind her were also taken with some of her popcorn, and I could hear them chuckling at the incredible spectacle. I remember thinking, "Thank God she's not drinking." To this day, I laugh at myself when I think of how I lose balance and created a chaotic scene.
Without balance, life can become messy. Are you not feel out of kilter or last time? Could it be that you feel out of balance? If so, maybe that's why? Do you consider yourself a part of the whole of God? Alternatively, perhaps like most people, you are educated and believe that the spirit of God is outside of you.
The definition of balance is simply having things in equal measure, a harmonious arrangement of elements within a whole. Acceptance of the idea that you're divorced from the mind creates inequality and imbalance. Without balance, one side is stronger, which may create turbulence as any works against the other side. Had my niece seat are made of a whole or had an equal weight on both parts, she or I had no trouble maintaining its position.
Remember the slogan that began long ago and is currently printed on our currency, "In God We Trust." In 1776, the thirteen colonies were against imbalance and inequality. If they were happy, we would never have wanted to be free from inequality. Perhaps this sentence to state that our country was founded on the ideals of spiritual balance and equality. Moreover, considering that only a part of the whole of God may be equality.
If you realize that you are part of the whole faces will disappear imbalance and to achieve happiness. Why not stop the destructive fireworks may be going inside now by embracing the concept of a part of the whole of God. If you do, you can celebrate the freedoms more upbeat you already have in you. You have both size and weight you treat every situation.
God has indeed blessed America. More importantly, recognize that He has blessed every person on the planet. Let us trust in God that is within us. It's only a matter of making that realization to His light goodness and earlier. So, my wish for you is a declaration of independence of the destructive belief that you are separated from the rest of God. Joy in the balance power within you!
