Doll Set
"A Doll's House" and "Wuthering Heights", a research setting
Although the word suggests a study by institution the place (albeit through the development of the character or symbol IT projects), but also the notion of time and the way things are placed in the pass. Important for the two meet not only a vehicle for the events of the texts, but also a reflection of the themes and ideas going on in them. So, "Wuthering Heights "and" A Doll's House "can be compared by means of objects, physical and emotional limits, and the situation, and by the use of time scales and the meaning of when certain events occur.

He is a man who would have been less aware of the daily struggle of ordinary people and so is slightly separate from the harsher realities of life. This love for dressing up and going to parties is an appropriate representation of idealistic Nora's conception of love and marriage, and her unconsciousness of the subjects they need to bring. Her vision is a fantasy version where everything is fun, perfect and glamorous. Where the balls and parties may be things that marriage is not, so the way Torvald Nora acts can not be her true self-it's all part of the fantasy life they lead in the house, which is clearly very much like a dollhouse. Her desire for the "miracle" to happen encapsulates this fantasy. In Act 1 she believes that this freedom will come if she is able to repay its debts and return to the normality of life, life of the same untruth that they always run, all she has ever known. Indeed, just as she dresses up physically for the glamorous life from above, so Ibsen dresses her with the peculiarities that a character that is isolated from the realities of life creation. For example the extreme childishness of their language with words like "pooh", and her childish mannerisms as they "… on toes and listen at the door of her husband. "She is also lacking in the emotional intelligence that comes with leading a life in society-like when Mrs. Linde and Nora enters the proceeds to her tell how the last eight years have "been such a happy time for me." It ignores the obvious state of Mrs. Linde and tells her, on the other hand, the well she is doing. So it's clear she has no position in society and can not even properly interact in society until they shed all the "top floor" aspects of her character.
Unlike Torvald is closer to the bottom of the house. He has a realistic view of the future, knows the importance of savings and is very intent to preserve the reputation he earned as a banker, all contributing to his character grounded. At first glance seem to have these qualities in a person's character. But his personality is so stiff and he found that the ability to change in any way, so he misses sitting in the way of life that is so shallow and apparently still completely satisfied with things just as they are. The couple positions at the beginning of the game a need for change and development at the end, as each of those positions are too extreme.
The play revolves around the time of Christmas, that would be a time of relative deprivation in Norway because of the severe winter. People like Mrs. Linde, house, in their winter gear and do that as symbols of real life struggle, they are outside in the cold and snow and bore it. These people in the house is the opposite of Nora, who rarely leaves home and unaware of what it is to hardship. They must change, like the Christmas tree, which goes through a process of reflective experience Nora's.
The tree is an object of fun and charm, and the only real purpose is as something to watch. This parallel is the role of Nora in the building, if anyone wants to say, at least Torvald, just fun. Also at the beginning of Act 2 the tree is described as "stripped and confused, her candles burned to their sockets." At this moment in the play Nora is blackmailed by Krogstad while keeping her secret Torvald, so has undergone a personal hardship that she has probably never seen. Thus, this vulnerability of character is reflected in the vulnerability of the Christmas tree, as soon as something of beauty changed something ugly and maimed.
Similar to Wuthering Heights, it is important the duration of the action of each note. They are vastly different, "A Doll's House" is set over a period of several days during the Christmas holidays, while in "Wuthering Heights' takes the story almost 50 years. There is also a clear gender difference between the two. The phallic image of Wuthering Heights with the stone out " and hardened, barren appearance compares dramatically with the femininity of the Grange, a more civilized and beautiful building. "Peniston Crag" also represents the masculinity of Wuthering Heights environment. One can not avoid the reference to the penis, and its clear suggestion of something that is definitely male. However, if this is a reference to Heathcliff himself. He A man often described in basic terms, and Chapter 18, the Crag is described as appealing to the young Cathy especially when "… the setting sun shone on it." This ties in with Heathcliff "anti-hero" status, something that somehow attractive, despite his ugliness (of character in his case), and insensitivity. The opposite houses and places like "Peniston Crag" characters can be more defined, and ideas around them (eg extreme masculinity Heathcliff) more developed.
The big difference in attitude between the two places for the transformation of Catherine. When They spend much time in "The Grange" she matures and becomes a woman, indeed Hindley comments on her return, that "You look like a woman now". Catherine changed dramatically as a result of uprooting and moving physically. Unlike Nora's transformation comes from her long stay in a specific environment, as opposed to a change in movement. Finally, it is clear that Ibsen strongly focused on the heavy symbolism to portray his message, the Chamber and the tree is a good example. This means that "A Doll House's" a very clear goal to inform the public about the social developments of the time was also emphasized by the use of classical units. "Wuthering Heights" is different in that it is an epic and sometimes melodramatic novel, not immediately strike the public as a piece of social commentary. It is certain, and would have been really shocking to Victorian readers, like "A Doll's House" was the Victorian public. Like this, the differences in time provide pictorial representations of changes that are very different but equally striking, important because of the importance of the dramatic change in both pieces.

I can not for the life of me remember the names of these dolls. It was a kind of Barbie dolls, but shorter and more unattractive.
