Dollhouse HISTORY
Dollhouse HISTORY
Leisure recreation of the interesting houses and their contents in detail miniature is not new. It is here for centuries in one race or another. In fact, for thousands of years, quarters or miniature living rooms, equipped with internal fittings and their inhabitants, both humans and animals are part of many civilizations. The most primitive examples were hollowed out of the Egyptian tombs of the Old Kingdom. They were estimated to exist since five thousand years ago. These include models of furniture, livestock, boats and even servants and pets. They are made of wood and were placed at the Pyramids to the mental or religious purposes.
Meanwhile, the first known European dollhouses were from the 16th century. They were called baby houses actually display boxes or cabinets made of rooms. This baby houses exhibited ideal interior design with highly detailed furnishings and decors. The box cases were built with elegant architectural aesthetic designs and were filled with small representations of household accessories, focusing on adults' entertainment purposes. Children were not allowed to come close to this Baby homes for them to avoid damaging the miniature toys.
The first replica of a fully furnished house was under the possession of Albert V, Duke of Bavaria, in the middle of the 16th century. It was the most famous baby home in Europe, which was followed by many wealthy people.
Miniature trophy homes than was collections of the few elites that English, Dutch and Germans live in cities like London, Hamburg and Amsterdam. This happened elites wealthy enough to pay for luxury items. A fully equipped miniature house at that time was worth the price of a simple full-sized house.
Smaller doll houses, such as the Tate house, with additional realistic exterior walls, appeared in Europe in the 18th century.
The first few European dollhouses were each inimitable, custom-made by individual craftsmen for their rich clients. When the Industrial Revolution began, manufacturers began producing toys, including dollhouses and miniatures suitable for furnishing them all in mass base. German plants were recognized for their dollhouses that Christian Hacker, Moritz Gottschalk, Elastolin, and Moritz Reichel included. The list of major English pop businesses include Siber & Fleming, Evans & Cartwright, and Lines Brothers (which became Tri-ang).
With the conclusion of the 19th Century American dollhouses were assembled by The Bliss Manufacturing Company in the United States.
Germany was the world's most famous producer of the most cherished doll houses and miniatures miniatures. The case was until World War I. Distinguished miniature German firms included Marklin, Rock and Garner and others. Their goods were not only passionate collected in Central Europe, but often exported to England, Cuba, Canada and the United States. German participation in World War seriously affected both the production and international trade. This gave rise to the new producers in other countries known.
The TynieToy Company of Providence, Rhode Island, real replica of the old American houses and furniture made in a standardized scale begins in about 1917. Other related U.S. companies during the early 20th century Tootsietoy, Roger Williams Toys, Wisconsin Toy Co., and Schoenhut.
The other side of the world, dollhouse dolls and miniatures were also produced in Japan, particularly by replication of the original German designs.
Doll houses were mass-produced in plants on a much larger scale with less detailed than designs ever after the Second World War. At the beginning of the second half of the 20th century, a typical dollhouse sold commercially was made of decorated sheet metal or other metal filled with plastic furniture. Such houses were less expensive that the vast majority of the girls from the developed countries in Europe and the Americas which were not struggling with the reconstruction after World War II may regulate at least one.
The production of toys for kids doll houses, miniatures was a good business and continued. In the year 1970, the adults again resurrected the idea of collecting small pieces of modern houses and show them in their living rooms or personal libraries.
Today, this hobby of collecting and playing with miniatures is getting a big reputation and a growing number of specific stores, small festivals and doll magazines to cater for this interest. Indeed, throughout the world, many want a perfect home that they can dictate design and recreation.
Miniature lovers like now long gone or current events in both houses or whole remake some scenes. Some take pleasure in making the models themselves, while others collect limited edition pieces or the Commission artisans to meet their specific requirements. The overall objective is to achieve precisely the right mood, personality and way of working to explain and make this hobby an art of self expression.
