Seasonal Dollhouses
As a society, we follow a number of seasonal traditions. Spring brings Easter, complete with rabbits, eggs and candy. In the summer, we highlight July 4 in the United States, while other countries like in the middle of summer events. Fall brings the changing leaves and Halloween with its spooky graveyards, witches and black cats. In winter, we celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States with turkey dinners, pilgrims and cornucopias. This is followed by Christmas, Hanukkah or any other medium in winter celebration. Then comes New Year's, and the cycle of the year begins anew.
As we decorate our homes and refurbishing the changing traditions throughout the years, many dollhouse enthusiasts discovered the fun of fixing up their dolls the same way. Because of its small size, a dollhouse is the perfect setting for an extended renovation projects that are simply not practical on a full scale in your home. If you have the time and patience for the project, it is relatively easy to make even extensive renovations to make it better capable of performing a special holiday theme, changing the house back to normal after the season ends.
If you prefer to add small details instead the execution of large renovation, seasonal decorations for dollhouses galore. You can purchase a Christmas tree (fully decorated or ready to decorate), a Hanukkah menorah, Jack O 'Lantern for Halloween, and almost any other seasonal decoration you can imagine. Let your own creativity rampant, crafting miniature versions of your own decorations that you would have to use in your dollhouse.
Do not forget the little details, such as tablecloths and seasonal kitchen decorations, and appropriate seasonal Food items. Nothing says "American Thanksgiving tradition" better than a turkey on the table or stove. Adding a pair of matching items in most or all of the dollhouse dollhouse rooms will give a very festive air. Also, consider changing the doll clothes a bit. Seasonality appropriate clothing, or a nice dress for Christmas or a costume for Halloween, will add to the realism of the scene.

Where to buy nice and affordable dollhouse miniatures?
Hi, I'm currently interested in buying cute and very small items for dollhouses. I am especially interested in items such as biscuits, cakes, tea cups / Teaset, bowls and other assorted and cute food or furniture. I personally really like the Japanese style dinner sets, because they tend to their dollhouse items look extra cute. Does anyone know of a good websites or stores that would sell items like this? I think Toys R Us would have something, but I'm not so sure of.
