Barbie And You – Do You Feel Empowered? – Mattel Joins Movement The Girl with "I Can Be 'Academy
The makers of the Barbie doll [Mattel] have an "I Can Be" College for a pre-teen girls to inspire some of the 125 careers Barbie has held since its debut in 1959 to continue. They hope This will give young women the opportunity to explore different careers and feel empowered in the process.
"These girls prove that nothing is impossible" says Adriana Gut, Barbie's brand manager. "That is the purpose of our campaign – to empower girls. The role of Barbie, girls can make a world without borders explore, "she says.
However, the "I Can Be" line shows girls to explore a wide range of careers involved some Barbie is a doll self-esteem of young women instead of increasing it touches. If Barbie, the perfect figure, hair, clothes and careers. Many critics claim you never see Barbie looking sub-par doing a "regular job." All her glamorous career and if they are a "real job" she will always seem glamorous to do with fun accessories to match course. And many young women find it difficult to obtain perfect life of Barbie. They simply can not afford her high heels, makeup and wheels.
But Mattel Barbie highlights is a great tool for young women lead to careers they might otherwise never would have thought. They also say Barbie is a wonderful role model and girls anywhere and will be inspired by her. Barbie appears to the average Jane, Barbie will continue discussions for many years to come.
