How to Clean a Porcelain Baby Doll
Almost every girl in the world loves playing with dolls. Baby Dolls are popular because it allows them to enjoy a bit of role as a parent of the doll. These dolls get so much attention from their owners that they tend to become dirty very quickly. While plastic and cloth dolls are easy enough clean, a porcelain Baby Doll is another matter. It requires special care to ensure that no damage is caused by cleaning. Even if your doll is only partly porcelain, china will still clean the parts carefully.
Start by carefully removing all clothing your dollhouse. Make sure the manufacturer's instructions to be followed for washing the clothing. If washing instructions are not available, you can follow these general directions. All washable fabrics can be hand washed with a mild to dishwashing liquid, a mild detergent or baby shampoo. If you wash more clothes at once, you can put them in a net, which is normally used for washing tights or in a pillow protector that can be compressed closed. You can wash clothes in the washing machine using the softest cycle.
If your doll clothing have beads, bows, sequins or confirmed, you may have to cut them and then re-attach them after the clothes dried. Antique and vintage baby dolls generally only made for the collection purposes and their clothes are made of very delicate fabrics. It is best to keep these dolls in a dust-tight case and to avoid washing the clothes as much as possible. If you need to wash, you'd do well for your doll and her clothes to refer to a professional antique doll specialist.
Now, let us proceed to clean the porcelain babydoll. Carefully remove dust and loose dirt using a blow dryer or a clean, soft cotton cloth. When using a blow dryer, you must set to cool down before directing the airflow towards the doll. Make sure your doll is painted on its body parts or if the features are the only ones that are painted. You should also check your pop painted hair or a wig laminated. If the hair is glued on then you must be careful not to wet the glue in the cleaning process.
After all traces of dust are gone, Dip a clean piece of cloth in the water and then gently touched on an inconspicuous part of the doll, like the back of the neck. Check that the water removes the paint on the doll or any other damage. If the water does not hurt then you can continue sweeping the doll body. For very small spaces, such as eyes, ears and mouth, you can use a cotton swab. Make sure the cloth and cotton swabs are just enough to wet your doll clean but not wet enough for water to drip.
If water alone is not completely cleaned you pop, you can try using a mild dishwashing liquid. Back testing a small inconspicuous part of your doll to make sure no damage. Use a circular movement in the cleaning of your doll and make sure that only a very slight pressure applied. Wash away all traces of soap and make sure your porcelain doll dry completely before dress.

WOW .. Im afraid of paper cuts too! I didn't know there was a word for that, though .. lol. acutally I'm afraid of a few things .. but I will name the biggest fears. I Podiaphobic (Afraid of the feet, barefoot in my case.)
