Make Your Own Surf Camp in California

Camping in California is just browsing. How else would most surfers can afford a weekend in Big Sur? I know I can not afford a spa. I have camped many times in places where I could surf. Though not always waves, there was always a fire and some hot dogs.

As with any planned vacation can be difficult to coordinate a swell to book a place. When I finally know some decent surf on the road are Many sites already booked. Despite this, pop-up windows of opportunity and we've got a site even after being informed by the computer / phone / internet / signs that the place was full. It is often worth the risk to go for it and hope that something is available. Just be sure you have a backup plan, such as another site nearby that will almost certainly have spots. So far we have not had to pay for such an expensive hotel rooms in Bodega Bay.

We always try to light, as light as a pack where it can carry kid gear, camping gear, and of course, a surfboard. It looks like a lot of space in a vehicle until you start to fill with nonsense. We used a 1982 VW camper that we Pre-kept full most of the time to have filled. It was good for weekend trips. We could just pull up and pop the top. It even had a sink, a stove and a refrigerator, but we rarely use, prefer outdoor cooking. Her biggest problem was that it was an old and slow Diesel. 1960's VW vans love flew past us on Highway 1. We used many changes. It was great once we got there, but next time I would get the version without the gas stove and sink in the room. It is faster and has more space. Where should I go? The big question always depends on swell, wind and site availability. Here are some of the places I've gone camping and surfing. Most have very nice sites near or on the beach.

Humboldt County

My wife and I rained out of our tent in Trinidad, so we got a cheap cabin in Emerald Forest campsite. It was rustic, with a wooden bed, a chair, and a little heater – perfect for the rainy conditions and simple enough that we still have our stuff and felt like we were camping.

Along the drive north to one of the beaches, I noticed a number of glass waves about one mile away on a beach that turned Dry Lagoon be. Although it was overcast, the waves were glassy, head high, and fun. I think I caught him on a rare day if it had not blown.

Del Norte County

My wife and I also went to the more economically backward Crescent City. The kind of reminds me of my hometown Pacifica, except that houses are four times more expensive home. But Crescent City has potential, surrounded by the ocean and the redwoods. I surfed on South Beach in a side shore wind, and it was fun, despite sloppy.

Sonoma County

Bodega Bay is the main surfing spot in Sonoma County, and Doran beach is the most appropriate site, located opposite the beach. We have stayed there many times and it is hard to beat for convenience. I just walk across the road to the beach and paddling. But make sure the high tide and there is enough swell to make it in This south facing beach. Nearby is Salmon Creek, which can be fun when it is not big and blown out of control. When you go with the family, I would just stick with Doran Beach.

Marin County

We stayed at olema camp, about 25 minutes from Drakes Beach at Point Reyes. The campground is a grassy meadow with a few trees, and the beach is a kind of Doran Beach – protected, easy paddling, and light on sandbanks. I surfed it a few times almost alone in really nice, sunny, fast and somewhat Short tides. A few other times I made the long trip for nothing. I'm pretty close to the mouth at some point and decided to leave because of the shark potential. A Northwest offshore wind was strong in front of the car park, at the end of the "wind funnel" valley. You can also drive Bolinas …. Oh I forgot, no one should know where Bolinas is. If you can find, say, with MapQuest or something, you can surf this place. It's usually cleaner and more pressure than other places nearby. If you want really mellow slow roller representing a longboard, to walk to the beach, hang a right, walk past the smell of burning hemp, and you're there.

Santa Cruz County

Here we stayed at New Brighton beach. It is a beautiful site with access to all the surf in the city. We also stayed at Sunset Beach, also enjoyed a huge beach. It is fifty miles in Monterey Bay with several surf spots. I caught him a few windless day-to-offshore. It's no fun when there's no wind or too much swell. There is also an RV park near the beach, but we felt a bit stupid to stay in our little VW camper van next to all the great campers. The lady stays in her Honda Element made us feel more at home.

Monterey County

Here we stayed at a campsite in the hills about five miles inland. We drove to Spanish Bay on an incredible days – ten foot waves with perfect form. It was fun until the gray, burly, longboarding crew arrived. They pretty much dominated after that, and I broke a belt. I had a lot of surfing beach in Caramel. This place looks like Hawaii, only with cold water. White sand covers both Spanish Bay and Caramel Beach.

I also have some nice days with Andrew Mole. The walk to the river mouth is about one mile! A few times it was about 4 feet clean and peeled pretty good – all right. A few other times I dragged the wife and children to the windy place and we looked at small waves break for a few minutes before making the long walk back. I would not make the walk, unless you know there's a south swell or decent sized west to northwest swell.

A good place to stay is Ventana camp with its beautiful locations in the Redwood Forest. But there are several options the neighborhood. If you stay further south on Lake Creek, Sand Dollar, you can surf beach across the street and a bit of a hike to the bluff. It has beautiful water, but the small, rocky coast is not fun for the family. Some young women next to our campsite we were asked to collect jade. I think it's something you can do there if you like that things. Willow Creek is a good place nearby. It had some really nice waves were well overhead when we were there.

San Luis Obispo County

Morro Strand State Beach is a campground on the beach near Morro Rock. I woke up to low tide close-outs when we visited, but I found some surf near Montana de Oro State Park. I do not know exactly what I specified path to the beach from the road. I pulled over when I saw the surfboard racks on cars. Ten minutes from the trees and voila – surfing!

Do you think the Canadian rapper Drake connected with Rhianna? see below?

They were seen locking lips all night at the Lucky Strike Lounge on West 42nd Street in Manhattan in New York. She has also recorded a "diss" song about Chris Brown called "Silly Boy" .. talk about how he had a good girl, but he just does not know … guess what. Funny thing is that Chris Brown and Drake look a lot like a … anon famous …. I've been married to an African American 21 years … everyone in this section already know this ….

I heard the rumors, but I think they fit right and your Drake and Chris do look alike …………
