"The guy I think holes in my head when I ask them over for an Easter Egg Hunt." Sandy brushed a lock of his stubborn red hair back with dirty fingers.
I sighed as I looked at him. He certainly had outgrown the cute stage, when he is happy to celebrate his birthday in April by having his friends over for an Easter Egg Hunt. But despite his long legs and grubby appearance, he still wanted a birthday party.
"Can we not think that you to do something that Mom big guys my age would like? "
I told myself the idea that it was not exactly age eleven. "Maybe we can one Easter Party and plan a variety of games. "
"I know, Mom! Let an egg batch. Eats egg, egg games, stunts egg, egg everything."
"Eggs, son? This sounds very good Eggy. But make your plans and I'll help. "
When he first sketched his ideas for me, I thought, that party will " , so that many eggs can be quite expensive. "But then I realized that the only cost for the games and decorations, the cost of used eggs, I decided it really would cost a lot. So it was that Sandy Easter egg party, gave his birthday.
He calls the egg-shaped cut from colored cardboard. Invitations read, "Come to Sandy's house on Monday eggctly twelve forty-five eggciting noon." Then he dashed off on his bicycle to deliver his invitations.
Immediately on the wealthy boys arrived eleven hours, for something that sounded like fun. Just in case of an April shower would chase us later in the house in the afternoon We staged our first egg-catching game. That was the only one of our scheduled games that could not be played in the house.
The game goes like this: six boys each with a raw egg, line up facing a partner. Each of the six boys on one side throws the egg in his possession to the boy across from him, which is three meters from him. If this boy catch the egg without breaking it, each boy takes a big step backwards. If the egg is not caught, but saves on the ground that pair is eliminated. After each roll each partner moves a step backwards. You will be amazed what an exciting game this is, and the eleven-year-olds are adept at throwing and catching raw eggs. The two boys who were made leaders eventually won in the "Egg relay race."
Two hard boiled eggs were used for the relay. The two leaders took turns choosing teammates. The boys then formed two lines, one behind the other guy. Each boy was given a teaspoon of instructions to the handle between his teeth. A hard-boiled egg was placed in the bowl of the spoon of each of the two leaders. At a signal from the leaders, with their hands behind them, ran to a target on the lawn without removing the eggs. When the boy finished it he took the spoon in his hand, ran back to the line and put the egg in the spoon of the boy just back of him stood in line.
If the egg was dropped in transit with the boy picked it up, put back on the spoon before advancing further. The team completing the race first was named "Eggsperts."
This party is a great fun for the children of eleven years. Thought it needed a fairly large number of eggs, but it is not worth the joy it can give to your young children.
