Which edition of Barbie is …?
I found two Barbies special in the charity shop, and I do not know what editions they are. They are of very high quality, not plastic, not the regular kind of Barbie. They are heavy, and of course collector's items. One is a redhead and still has the jewelry, which is a silver necklace with blue beads and sequins. The other is a brunette with highlights Bonde. Any help would be really appreciated.
This sounds like a Silkstone Barbies. They are not old, They are actually quite new, came out in the last 10 years or so, but they are highly collectible. They were seen as limited edition meaning produced in quantities limited to 35,000 or less. They tend to feature special fabrics and details that distinguish them from other dolls, and are designed to collect and display. Now most covered Silkstones the color category, which means they are produced in numbered editions of 25,000 or less worldwide, and only available at selected retailers. The one with the brown hair blonde highlights and sound like Highland Fling Barbie (link below), but the red head does not sound familiar to me. If you could provide more information, I could definitely helpyou, but a quick search on the only redhead Silkstone Barbie that has a silver chain, the Siren Silkstone, but there is no blue in the outfit. Can you describe the appearance of the doll? Hair up or down, long or short, where is the mole is, color of eye shadow, etc.? Hope this helped.
