Elegant Aging: Growing Deeper, stronger and wiser in your Years
Elegant Aging is really a matter of body, mind, emotion and spirit. If we paid loving attention to these four aspects of our being, our age with elegance and grace. First, let's look at what we do with the idea of "aging" and "old" in our minds.
Attitudes about aging
When we were young we wanted to grow up and when we get older we want to be young. What's wrong with that picture?
Aging is inevitable, and as the saying goes, it's much better than the alternative. Ageing is alive, it starts with birth and ends when we die. Anti-aging is actually anti-life. The word "age" comes from the Latin verb "alo," which means "to feeding, rearing. "More generally," alo "means to strengthen, enhance and advance to larger and deeper.
So why not age with elegance, grace and style? Why do not you mind to strengthen, improve and advance deeper and wiser with each new day, week, month and year?
A Yale study 2002 showed that, "Positive thinking about aging prolongs your life by seven-and-half-year more than the lifetime gained with low blood pressure or low cholesterol or by maintaining a healthy weight, abstaining from smoking and exercising regularly. "Researcher Becca Levy and colleagues found that lower body mass, smoking and regular exercise extending the life of one to three years.
This confirms what Dr. Paul Pearsall says in his book Super Immunity, "How do you feel about your health is more important than what you do about it. "
Stay Connected
Think about the people you know who are lively, energetic and productive well into his seventies, eighties and nineties. These are your role models, elders and the ways of your community. Hang around them, how they think, eat, act and practice. Notice what they do in their relationships. You will see that they are not perfect by any means, but they are certainly involved in the life.
Detach from people and life processes accelerates the decline of health in aging. Stay connected and get involved, and find yourself feeling younger and more energetic as a result. This culture that worships youth and beauty will not necessarily welcome you with open arms. Do it anyway. There are more of our elegant older than ever before in human history. We can make a huge positive difference in the world by refusing to negative program to buy about aging and staying fit, happy, productive and committed, while we can.
One of the best things you can do is find someone to care. Maybe an elderly person or a child in your community can use your help. This is one of the best ways to stay connected and involved. Volunteer your services.
Beautiful as you become older
Considering that the aging process is perfectly designed for your wonderful. Feeling great and doing well when you're young The proverbial "piece of cake" (you can eat as much as you want). The reality of the aging process requires that we get either stronger or smarter, we buckle under the weight of a negative aging process. You get to choose!
Use the challenge of aging to be like the oak, deeper and stronger with each passing year. Add to that the wisdom of your life experience, and you have the makings of splendor! The effort required for you to keep fit, active and engaged is good for you. The effort required to stay mentally alert, connected and informed is good for you. If aging is not as challenging, we were able to remain mediocre and lazy and get away with it. So You see, the challenges are built into the aging process is well designed to help you get the best you can possibly be.
And the rewards are enormous. I know what it about. You have seen the looks of deep peace and joy in the eyes of those who are elegant older. The capacity for love, understanding, peace and compassion are larger as we age , when we make choices that we make in that direction.
Thinking about these things:
1. Nobody really dies of "old age" because it is not a disease. Old age is a time of joy, freedom and peace.
2. What led you to believe about aging is mainly negative. Do not buy the program.
3. Be a rebel. Be outrageous. Are ecstatic eccentric. Be creative. Be the person you've dreamed of.
4. Be kind to yourself as you challenge yourself out to something you have never done it. And hanging there.
5. Remember that your body is an amazing self-healing organism. Your capacity for self-healing is far greater than you are led to believe.
6. Your attitude, your daily thoughts and beliefs about your body, mind and aging determining your health and wellness to a much greater than you ever dreamed.
7. Think about what you've heard all your life on "the will to live." We have learned as children deaths while they may not have because they missed it. We also learned about people when they were not supposed to because she had. How strong is your "shall live?" Strengthened by the introduction so much joy and love into your life as possible.
8. Start today "finding the good" in yourself and the world around you. This is the absolute all-time best thing you can do to a healthy, happy aging process to insure. Become a Good Finder and practice the art of Appreciation.
9. There is no doubt that those that a strong spiritual belief sick less often, recover faster and live longer happier lives. We have a positive spiritual belief system as much as we need food, air and water.
10. If you have a strong, uplifting spiritual focus, build and maintain. If you do not, start looking until you find the beliefs and practices that work best for you.
Create a positive vision of yourself as you age with grace
You know the image of aging that you want? Loss of mental and physical function, total isolation and painful decline. Not a pretty picture. You do not go quietly into that dark night! Still, if you a negative program is about aging and not for yourself, which may be exactly what you'll get. So, here is a better choice:
A vision of your future self, laughing, deep breathing and energetically engaged in life in several ways. See yourself as you want to be. Visualize yourself exercising, eating, laughing and involved in activities with friends. Feel the emotion associated with this. Believe. Make up your mind, that's where you're going. Look forward to it. Expected.
Given specific and clear about your vision. Set clear goals for your physical, financial, intellectual, emotional and spiritual growth. Keep a journal and write about your current life as if you had already achieved all your goals. Feel. See it. This is your ability to create your own reality. You can do it. You can make it happen. You have everything you need to get the life you want to create for yourself.

I'm not on the river cruise dandy, but the pictures on the site it does not look that elegant. However, I have the Odyssey and are very elegant, and the food and service are good. I'd say go with the Odyssey.
