The Review:
Poison Reality: A Bittersweet symphony of a book full of poison. Within the pages, we meet rapists, alcoholics, adulterers and murderers. Nedyne Shorts Nettles included to show how a life that starts with poor treatment stays that way indefinitely until the individual decides to depart in goodness.
A few examples: we have Greg, who deceives his wife, Vierna, and ends by marrying the "other woman", while still married to Vierna. His illegal wife, Melissa, was brutally murdered and thrown away, so Greg in a catatonic state. Terry is brutally raped while in a hotel for a travel seminar. The rape results in pregnancy and AIDS. However, Terry finds God in the midst of her misery and eventually unwittingly befriends her rapist. Skeets hopes to join a gang. While performing the opening act of steal a car, he takes the car unconscious with the body of Melissa's in, and is therefore responsible with her murder. He raped and murdered in prison.
Shorts seem Nettles was a little heavy on the unfortunate people make choices or circumstances that arise for them. While I know she is just trying to how bad begets bad, bad events to highlight the many seemed to transcend the "reality". One of the last scenes in the book, while very dramatic, simply does not seem plausible. Shorts Nettles has a lot of interesting ideas that weave together the various characters in this book. However, I find it a bit confusing to keep the number to keep.
I found the time that the stories are set in fascinating – the dawn of AIDS in America when we did not know people were sent and the disease. Although this time in history was not so long ago that it was my "time", it was long enough ago we can look back with a sense of wonder we did not know what was yet to come and change.
Overall I found this book and I would recommend it to readers also enjoy soap operas. This book was written in that style, with very fast scenes, which rapidly rotate around characters. Although I usually do not watch soaps, I enjoy this technique, If I was able to my taste a different story every few pages to refresh.
Nedyne Shorts Nettles grew up in Los Angeles, California, in a family of three children. She attended Cal State Northridge for three years right out of high school. She is currently attending Argosy University, where she will finish her bachelor's in psychology. Nedyne and her husband Kevin live in San Bernardino, California, where they lived for ten years. She is a nurse at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. She is very proud to present her novel to the world.

Heavy Metal Symphony?
Anyone know of good heavy metal and symphonic songs? Heavy metal guitar (maybe even vocals) and symphony types of instruments? Other than Metallica and symphonic music. Sorta like the song at the end of August Rush (if you've seen) only harder? appreciated.
The guitarist Yngwie (sic?) Malmsteen wrote a concerto for electric guitar and orchestra. From what I've heard it's pretty good. Here is a part of it, you would be able to find the whole thing on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaRJKzX-UEA&feature=PlayList&p=27C14FF57E40C792&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=12
