How much is my doll worth?
Hello all, I have a beautiful Barbie-Mattel straight leg teen fashion model, blonde, bubble-cut is how much they doll.How worth? She was made in '61 with 99% of her finger / toe polish, and its makeup that is not touched up.She is in her orig. box, swimwear, and base, with her only flaw she has green residue around her ears. To re-cap, how much is she worth it? only drawback is green residue around her ears. I'd like vintage doll collectors to answer but everyone's answer is acceptable! Thanks a bunch!

They were bodies they used for years with the same numbers. It is about how the eyes are painted and has new face, plus the numbers on the butt of the dummy. Very often the seller on ebay do not really know the correct id of pop. Plus as a seller of just puppets on the internet many times, we missed noticed dolls and they are a great buy for a collector. The sale of Barbies and other dolls with the economy, prices are at a very low point, so it's a buyer's market. So I would not worry about the value of your doll at this point. Plus I would also not to sell her. I have a number of Barbies with two full closets, plus others and I've been waiting for prices to rise before I move them to a new home or collector. U can remove the green from the ears I would do it because it will only get worse, sometimes the lips will bleed well, but this is all repairable. There is a great book on Barbie repair that is just for those dolls I would look for it on ebay or http://www.abebooks.com. I had the book that was for sale in a collection. I was an idiot to book sell it. The value of the doll in the market today can not be the same value in tomorrow's market. Sitting on the doll for a while. Hope this helped some.
