The ceremony does not want the flower girl throw flower petals. I have an idea in mind, but I can not find what I wanted more. I do not think the sign is a bad idea, but it really will depend on the age of your flower girl. I mean you know how kids are, if they do not hold so people can read, everyone's going to go … what was that? Etc.. Or I can not see what it says and so on. We had the same problem as you and instead of deleting the petals, we have given her the Cinderella Castle (and no, we had no fairytale, just seemed like the little flower girl) basket off ebay, it was so beautiful, it just seems as the castle and it had glitter and jewels, and even the rosebuds on the side and some streaming ribbon in our wedding colors and then we had a sense we have a fall wedding sparkled ring in the basket so that it could be skimmed, it looked so beautiful and those of you in December you would be able to a lot of beautiful red and gold streamers found at the craft store into the basket. Or you could even in a bright bouquet to make it even more special. And feel our flower girl petals really wanted, we had her do when the DJ announced everyone in the reception, we had it to announce its first and it was easy to just pull the crown in the petals and put them and then let them walk our way was great. And as my wedding planner said, it's always better to ask for forgivness rather than permission, so we do not at the reception venue as we can, we just did it because we do not want to hear no again, feeling our flower girl had put her sights on the removal of the petals and it all worked out great!
