My Portable Gas Grill How Does my family have fun and relax
As everyone now days, it's really hard to find the time or the money to go on one week vacation. Our family tries to leave at least one full day per month and our favorite way to get away and relax and have fun is to take our boat and spend the whole day on one of the remote Georgia barrier islands. What will your family? – A combination of fun, sun, good food and relaxation.
Our recipe for relaxation begins with a little preparation the night before. We make sure the boat is in good safe working order and fully gassed and we pack our bags with the usual day beach day posts, but the most important items go into the coolers, one for cold drinks, and another for snacks and meals. We get up early Saturday morning and rush to the marina where launch our boat. We are heading to the beach of a deserted barrier island. We cruise the Intracoastal Waterway, playing games and watching as many varieties of wild animals as possible. The bottlenose dolphin gets the most points, but we spy pelicans, herons, gulls and the occasional alligator that an immediate victory for the spotter. The sun beams down, but the wind keeps us cool, if I can feel the stress of a hectic busy week seeping from my very pores while listening to the rhythmic hum of the engine and inhaling the salty essence of the marshes. After one hour or more cruising we arrive at our destination, where we spend the day. The beaches are rippled from the waves and the birds outnumbered the people. Going for anchor near the coast and blow our rafts and begin the phase of packing our stuff to the beach.
Now, phase two of the fun begins as each of us to give enjoy the fun and the Sun The children build sandcastles, followed by a cooling session of splashing in the waves. My husband and I spend our time shooting on the beach and floating effortlessly in the water watching the children. In any case, we all laugh and relax. After an hour or so of this, we must hunger. We put our marine portable grill. The grill makes it so easy because it is windproof and designed for this type of environment. We throw the hot dogs and hamburgers and bring all the fixings and within half hour we cooked eat and I for one, am ready for a little shut eye under the umbrella. I dream about that at this deserted beach with my family. Who says abandoned on a deserted island is bad? I know I could stand for one week, maybe two, until the cooler is full and the grill has plenty of propane. Laughter from the children wakes me from my nap and we spend Afternoon walking, running, swimming, driving, playing ball, throwing the frisbee, and even fish, hoping to catch our dinner. We get lucky and catch some bass. After a quick and easy cleaning, they are sizzling on the grill pan with the marinated vegetables and potatoes, we have taken. What one day, but alas, all good things come to an end. We pack up and begin our journey home.
We have spent, but each of us is shining on the ride home. We love this Saturday and we love the time together spend without television, cell phones, home phones and computers. Our family will remember these trips for life and hopefully, our children will raise their children to a value such trips. My husband and I will definitely give them a sea grill for a wedding present when that time comes, but until then we can spend the whole day away bring our thanks.
