The history of the Mannequin
We have seen mannequins and heard the word, but we know who invented them or how long they have used?
The word mannequin came from the Dutch word "Manek" means that few men. There are two accepted spelling of the mannequin – "mannequin" and "pop" closer to the original Dutch word. The meaning of the term today is "a model of human figure to display clothing, hats or fur or an assistant seamstress who wear new costumes to display them for sale in couture houses. '
Nobody really knows who created the first complete figure mannequin. It is thought that the establishment of a clothing line form dating back thousands of years. Later, an item called a "fashion doll" began circulating around France. These dolls ranged from 12 inches true to life size and always stylishly dressed. The dolls were exchanged between the royals and merchant class.
It was later during the Industrial Revolution and the invention of the plate-glass window that such "dolls" was useful in showing a clothing store. Different types of mannequins were originally designed everything from dust and straw with lead feet was.
Wax mannequins were said to cost $ 15 each, a tidy sum during that time. Even at that time, the models were mostly women and all account of the "ideal beauty" of the time – ". Advances in technology have continued so mannequin artists can now manufacture every conceivable shape and are bounded only by the limits their creativity.

I am visiting my family this weekend and there is a "funny" incident, they just will not let me live down. When I was 8, I split my dress in the back at the wedding of my cousin. I was fortunate enough to run and sit at a table before someone saw my underwear. My mother was very nice and gave me her enormous fur coat to cover my dress. My cousins were all walking around my table and fun, but they all knew that I would never arise because ripped my dress. Mother knew how bad I wanted to prevent laughed and she promised me that the marriage was almost over. When daddy came and forced me onto the dance floor for the last dance. The good thing was that I was with other children and dance with my father. But the bad thing was that my cousins have noticed that I wore Barbie panties. My most embarrassing moment ever ….
This is horrible. I started my period and I had no pads. I was very shy so I did not go to the nurse. There was a huge stain on the back of my pants. I had move my bag on my ass all day. Fortunately it was half day, and I also took a sweater from lost and found and tied it around my waist.
