Annual Boy Scout Popcorn Fundraiser Kickoff
For most of us, it is known that the girl scouts sell cookies every year to raise money for their many activities. What is not known to the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of America have an annual fundraiser by selling goodies like popcorn, almonds, trail mix and yogurt covered pretzels. The people who buy these goodies you can enjoy delicious gourmet treats at home in a variety of flavors.
The pre-popped popcorn is currently available in Caramel, cheese and chocolate flavors. Microwave popcorn is also available in, butter-Light and Caramel Crunch. The scouts would like everyone to know that all treats are made with canola oil, with 0g trans fat. Also, except for the trail mix, all certified Kosher snacks.
This is one time of year for all scouts to participate in a similar fundraising activity. For many scout troops and packs, this is their only fundraising event for the year, making it extremely important that Americans support their efforts.
Profit from this event to help Scouts from across America to participate in educational activities, accommodation and camps, getting badges and achievements, and much needed equipment and supplies to buy. The Boy Scouts of America like to point out that over 70% of the proceeds from these sales goes directly to local scouting, which helps cover the costs for many scouts to participate in scouting activities. This is such an important part of helping young boys become young men, we all proud.
In addition to the purchase of these snacks, consumers can also be a military donation, which will provide these tasty treats for our men & women fighting for our country. Scouts offer two levels of military donations – $ 30 and $ 50 – to consumers across the country. This is another way for Americans to feel good about supporting their troops who sacrifice so much of themselves.
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the largest and most prominent of the nation's youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people build character, develop personal fitness, dropping American values, and trains them in the responsibility of positive citizenship.
The scouts want to encourage all Americans to help them to celebrate 2010, the 100th anniversary of the birth of scouting. In these difficult economic times, many of today's youth excluded from participation in activities that Scouting has to offer. This allows everyone to support is critical to continue scouting adventure.

Our Girl Scout troops participated in "Cookies for a cause" We collected cookies to send to the troops in Iraq. We have over 100 boxes and find it very difficult to get these cookies to the troops. Is there an organization that is sending these cookies, no cost to us?
Contact your local USO or a veterans organization like the American Legion, Amvets and VFW. If they can not do, they know who can.
