Top Ten Toys for a toddler
These days children have gadgets that I would not have dreamed of when I was growing up, and as the years pass, the more technologically advanced the toy will … ah, I was at the Apple store one week ago and I saw some kids zipping by in their Heelys that could not be older than 13 years to purchase the iPhone and an iPod! When I was 13 I had to save for months to Nintendo …. and not the Wii or Nintendo 64 to get … This is the old school Nintendo with Duck Hunt. Anyways, I digress off, I thought it would be interesting to note what my child is playing with now and he just turned two years old. Here's the list:
Item # 5: Empty Bowl Tupperware
Cost: about $ 0.50
Scoop: Used in combination with a spoon, sometimes imaginary. My two years old loves to imaginary concoctions of chocolate and other sweets mix in the bowl. He often eats his imaginary dinner of the bowl and then refuses to eat diner.
Item # 4: paper plate and crayons 2-4
Cost: about $ 0.11
Scoop: For some reason, based on a piece of paper just will not do. There seems something magical colors on a paper plate. I do not, I even tried it myself and I prefer color on plain paper.
Item # 3: Random Stickers
Cost: € 0.00 – $ 0.50 per sticker
Scoop: My 2 years is obsessed with stickers, and they do not have to Barney, Elmo or Mickey Mouse on them, they just need the ability to stick to different surfaces. Free address labels look the same "fun" factor as expensive stickers I picked up from the party store. Regardless, I like them paste everything from the floor to get my hair (involuntary).
Item # 2: Bouncy Ball
Cost: $ 0.50 per ball
Scoop: This small multi-colored balls appear to have been since the beginning of time and not lost his appeal with the Rugrats. Of particular importance for my toddler to hurl it at me while I least expected
Item # 1: Little Tikes Cozy Coupe
Cost: $ 50.00
Scoop: This seems only my children real source of pleasure in comparison with other inexpensive toys. Although this was very annoying to assemble, my child plays with this every day and seems confident that he can point A to B in our home in the car faster than walking. Well at least I do not have to accelerate up.Aside of the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, the rest of this "toy" costs under the $ 1.50.
See, there is no money to buy happiness … well at the age of 2 anyway. In any case I will keep this in mind if my child is 7 and the Xbox 720 to has come out with $ 100 games. Just out of curiosity, I'd love to hear about what your favorite toddler toys.

I am dying to find what I feel to be a doll 1963 by Mattel Talking Shrinkin Violet cloth?
I remember this doll had her yellow string (possibly two pig tales) and I thought she had a purple dress …. cloth and was I believe, I know her face. I have this doll about 40 years ago. I remember her with one minute and then the next I could not find her. My mother had a bad habit of giving things away before their time. Anyway, I thought the name Shrinkin Violet on the internet … not sure if this was the doll … but there is a good chance …….. any other ideas where I could pop pictures of the same species to see in this age group would be much appreciated ……… thanks so much …….. brenda
Shrinking Violet is a doll hard to find, is rather rare. Most of the time that the speaker does not work. You need to set your search engines ebay to warn you when you come to sell, they will notify you in 6 months time, which is very handy.
