Halloween Party Ideas 2009

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year – a perfect opportunity to have a Halloween Party. Whether you're a child or adult party party There are many themes and ideas that will keep your guests talking for years. Here are a few fun and easy tips:

Costume party. This is nothing new, but you can be a twist on it. You can have a Pirates and Princess party for children or a male / female pirate party for adults. Famous people party works best for adults, costumes available for celebrities, sports personalities, politicians, etc. If your crowd is not the type to put on costumes, just ask everyone to dress in black and orange.

Non-Spooky party. Children, especially young, may be deterred by the dark side of Halloween. If you want a non-scary event for kids, try a different theme, such as a sports party (where guests have to dress up as dancers, hockey, soccer, sumo wrestlers, etc.) Super Heroes is a nice theme. A girls' party could be princesses and fairies. Animal costumes is another easy favorite of the public – especially if you room to decorate as a Halloween barn.

Invitations. Homemade invitations are nice and impressive. You can print photos, illustrations or photographs from the Internet to glue on paper. You can also cut silhouettes invitation – as ghosts, pumpkins, witches hats, etc. The invitation could have something that springs out when the viewer opens it. Stickers and confetti cards are easy ways to decorate. Keep the board in Halloween colors like black, orange, purple or green.

Decorations. My favorite party look for Halloween is to replace all the lights in the hall with black lights. Put black tablecloths on the tables, to cover the walls with black paper or black posters. Cotton batting, spread thin to look like spider webs, you can decorate black tablecloth. With white plastic sheets, so they glow in the dark and appear to float on the table. For children, Mountain Dew is a great drink into clear plastic glasses, because it glows in the dark. Strings of orange lights are available at many party stores and dollar. Use it on line doors and walls, or put them in pumpkins instead of candles.

Food: black and orange foods are always appropriate (such as orange cheese, Cheetos, black licorice, chocolate, pumpkin cupcakes) and target = "_new"> spooky cakes and sweets. Carve out pumpkins and line them with clear plastic bags to use as chips bowls and flower centerpieces. A hot bowl of fruit punch colored ice cubes for fun drinks.

Music. Burning in advance with a nice Halloween and Thriller kind song CD. Sound effects are fun to mix in. You can often rent or dry ice machines and disco balls if you buy the dance floor truly "spooktacular".

My son wants a glow stick person for halloween?

Any ideas on how to make this costume. I'm not sure how secure the sticks on the clothes, was thinking safety pins or hot glue. any ideas would be appreciated. or you know where these costumes are sold in stores, not online enough time.
