Selling a unique, handcrafted product line? Who me?
Very rarely one finds something unique to sell online. If an online Internet Marketer, I had the most spending my time marketing my website promoting MLM opportunities and sites for advertising opportunities. While I was making a little bit here and there, it was not enough. It was not what I've always wanted to do and it was not worth the time I spent online to market something that everybody and their mother was already on the market. Then, a few weeks ago, that all changed. I met someone who created something so special, I had to help her market. And my "niche" product was thus created.
Located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, in a heartwarming little shop known as "Peggy's Dolls" along the side of a small craft flanked by a community working grist mill in 1800, Peggy Sue is Cosey, dresses, and shows her beautiful handmade porcelain dolls. After meeting her, you can see that she really loves what she does when she needs because she is creating these heirlooms for the last 28 years! This is where I met Peggy and discussed marketing her beloved dolls on the Internet for her. It was a dream for me, because I've always been a collector of porcelain dolls. These dolls were so unique and nothing like the average so-called "collector" dolls you see in other stores. It was very clear that these very special dolls. The average collector porcelain doll is probably not the price of these beautiful dolls afford but because of their uniqueness, they are worth the price they must take one of these precious little creatures. They are made with childish expressions like your own children and will welcome addition to any serious collector. Even the beautiful satin and lace dresses are handmade by Peggy.
If the National Doll Maker for the Miss and Mrs. U.S. Pageants, has Peggy won several trophies for her creative talents to make dolls. Her latest creation parade, Ms. USA 2006, can be seen on our website. If that's not enough, two of her beautiful dolls were exhibited at the White House for several years and moved to be included in the Smithsonian Institute.
Another reason for the enormous success its decision to start changing her dolls. She takes the picture of someone cherished girl or boy and fashions the doll by hand to look like them. The resemblance is amazing and her famous! The process of shaping the porcelain face with the hand, styling the hair, eyes and clothing with meticulous detail is very time consuming, but well worth worth. Since most look-a-like doll shops use the same face and change only the eyes, hair and clothing, Peggy loves to see the look on the faces of parents, grandparents and others in getting their new handmade doll, knowing that it will forever remind them of their beloved child. People come from all over the world for Peggy's Dolls and with such high profile clients such as Dolly Parton, Reba McIntire, Loretta Lynn and others, it is no wonder that her dolls have become famous! Wedgewood china?
I have a china. 6 plates, 6 bowls and a vegetable dish with a decorative lid. It is marked by and Wedgewood china cream with a gold rim around the edges with an 'S' printed on them. Anyone know what this line of Wedgwood? They were given to me as a family heirloom.
