Online High School helps students get a head start for the College and employees
The U.S. Department of Education a new education plan which called for more technology integration in all levels of education. The plan states that by attracting students early with online tools, schools better prepare their students for college and the workforce. Educators in Colorado online high schools could not agree more.
"Students today want to be active participants in their education", Audie Rubin says Provost Executive Director of Academy, an online high school in Colorado . "They want to live learn the same way, using what they are familiar with such as blogs, podcasts, instant messaging and an interactive environment where they can thrive. "
A more complete, authentic and meaningful education
The U.S. Department of Education National Educational Technology Plan 2010 entitled "Implementing of American Education: Powered by Learning Technology "calls on all education levels, primary, secondary and higher education, plus feature to find online learning.
The authors make the case that the technology allows for a more complete, authentic and meaningful for students today. The argument that technology-based learning systems not only the way students learn today to change, but will improve the education system to help the future.

According to the National Educational Technology Plan, using technology in the classroom also prepares young minds for life after high school By:
- helping students develop skills such as self-discipline and motivation that are known to promote success in higher education institutions.
- providing access to web tools such as wikis, blogs, and digital content that are integral parts of many of today's career
- putting them in real-world situations and prepare to be productive members of a globally competitive workforce
Online high schools on the forefront of integrating technology into the classroom. But unlike traditional schools, online schools, the additional benefits of customized lesson plans and individual attention to helping young students look at their own pace, earning a high school diploma .
"I know many students who benefited from the online school that offers flexible scheduling, "says Rubin." She was an athlete or musician who needs to travel for competitions, a student who helps to support their family with a job or a teenage mother who is caring for her child, but do not want to sacrifice a program. Online school gives these students a real opportunity to earn high school diploma. "
Weight Technology in School Choice
Technology is ingrained in our lives. It has changed the way we shop, find information and connect with people so it's no surprise that it is changing our classrooms. Parents need to factor in technology when considering their school choice options. The next generation has to work with technology in a productive way, then SMS and online video games. Online high schools can provide the opportunities for students to use technology in a manner that reflects the college and a career.

What high school classes should I take to have a chance of Main on Penn State?
I'm in 10th grade and I hope to get accepted Penn State General Campus. But I was not going to take algebra 2, trig, or physics. I am a strict, and am currently a student cyber schooled. I have already completed algebra 1, geometry, biology, and I am currently working on chemistry. I will take all the classes that I have in order to take me to graduate high school, but will that be enough to Penn State Main?
There is no hard and fast guidelines, but if you would like to get in University Park, you must not only maintain a high GPA but also to stretch yourself and more difficult classes. One of the classes you've taken honors classes? What about AP classes? If not, I suggest that you start taking harder classes. (I would expect that most freshmen at University Park have had algebra 2 and trig. In fact, I would expect that about half have taken calculus.) But classes and grades are only part of the whole package. The admissions counselor will also be looking for a high SAT / ACT scores (the average score for an incoming freshman at UP is much higher than those at branch campuses level) and evidence of extracurricular activities.
