Bratz to Risqué?
It is common for parents to worry about their children's toys, but in the case of the Bratz dolls, some parents feel there might be a problem. If you have not had the chance to slap eyes on one of the newest fashion games to hit the toy store shelf, the Bratz dolls and the urban hip upgrade to the traditional Barbie. Where Barbie is fashionable and wholesome (by most standards), the Bratz are edgy with an urban, punk style. They also dress in a rather revealing way and are easily recognizable by the big pouty lips and sultry, bedroom eyes.
At least that is the impression most parents walk by.
Course a doll's facial features do not plan to declare a state of emergency toy, but as a parent you should always think about the message you send toys. And Bratz dolls look in a certain way – means that Bratz games are sending the wrong message?
Not necessarily.
When Barbie was introduced in the subsequent years there was great concern about the message Barbie was sending children everywhere. Of course, many parents still worry about this, but not with the degree of concern shown in the media years ago. When Barbie was made shamefully she had measurements that were impossible in real life. Her slim waist was disproportionate to her expansive chest and hips.
Critics fear that young girls would get the message that Barbie was the ideal and that all women should resemble Barbie dolls. The debate lasted for years, but when an updated version of Mattel Barbie made about a decade ago, she was again at the world with a wider waist and a natural looking belly button that will make them breathe a little sign of relief.
You do not hear much about the harmful effects of Barbie on the psyche of young girls today. You hear a lot about Hollywood and Teen Idols, and a copy of the Bratz games fashion and attitudes most frequently seen on television gossip shows and music. Bratz games include clothing that shows plenty of leg and a lot of the stomach. If the girls had split would the peaks seen too much of that.
The clothing is hardly the type that most parents tolerate their children, but some refuse to buy. Skin Tight articles, short shorts, and ultra-flashy clothing may be fashionable, but they make some critics, again, the message send these dolls to young girls – the primary target the dolls.
But like any toy or an act of parenting for that matter, the degree of acceptance for your home and your child is yours. And not all Bratz same game is made. If your child is dying to play with Bratz games the way her friends, her head to the computer to play online Bratz games or take a walk through the toy store to the least offensive pop (and outfit) in your mind find and buy that place. After all, Barbie may have been daring in its time, but she wound up a self-fulfilled woman with many high-paying careers.

Playing with barbies at age 13?
None of my friends know, but I have a whole box of Barbie dolls, Ken and Shelly dolls (Barbie's little sister) and I divide them all in families, they all hae their own families. At the time the "Monroe" family all travel to Hollywood for the Oscars barbie .. oh my gosh i need lol sounds so sad! I often play mothers and fathers and happy family, I am a complete Saddo?
I do not think a problem, im thirteen and I can not play with Barbie dolls, but I think they are cool though.and nobody has the right to judge, because they probably something far more embarrassing than that.
