Bristol County Savings Bank Hosts Bobblehead Doll Night at Mccoy Stadium on Saturday, August 2

Less than two years ago, Dustin Pedroia left the PawSox, making his big league debut with the Boston Red Sox, where he is racking up awards since. The image of Pedroia, the current from the second baseman for the Boston Red Sox 2007 American League Rookie of the Year, will again McCoy Stadium on Saturday, August 2 in the form of thousands of Dustin Pedroia bobblehead dolls, when the PawSox take on the Scranton WB Yankees at 18:05.
The first 4,000 young fans (14 years and under) will receive a Dustin Pedroia bobblehead doll at night, courtesy of Bristol County Savings Bank and NBC 10. This high quality collector's edition bobblehead doll will honor Pedroia's many successes.
The first member of Boston in 2004 Draft class to reach the majors, Pedroia was a postseason International League All-Star as a member of the Pawtucket Red Sox in 2006. Pedroia played for the PawSox until August 22, 2006 when he joined the Boston Red Sox roster for the remainder of the 2006 season. When he was first drafted by the Arizona State Pedroia was quoted as saying "It is a goal of mine since I was a little kid to play professional baseball and now that is a dream come true. "
A inspiration for children everywhere, Pedroia has been playing out that dream in a big way. In the 2007 World Series , He became the second player in an increasingly became an opener HR World Series game in his first at bat, and is currently one of the hottest hitters in the majors with a .314 batting average.
Bristol County Savings Bank is a sponsor of Bobblehead Doll Night at the Pawtucket Red Sox since 2002. The Bank CEO Dennis Kelly notes, "Bobblehead Doll Night is traditionally one of the highest attended home games of the season for the PawSox, and a great night eagerly awaited by area families. Bobblehead Doll Night at the connection points the PawSox with the Red Sox. Former PawSox players honored through the years at Bobblehead Doll Night are former and current Red Sox team members: Trot Nixon, Derek Lowe, Jason Varitek, Tim Wakefield, Jonathan Papelbon, Kevin Youkilis, and this year, Dustin Pedroia. Many of these players have some of the recent Red Sox World Champion teams.
