Large cork board – Old School Organisation for Visual People
As heavier workloads and job descriptions tasking blur traditional lines, are professionals find it harder and harder to detect the meetings, project proposals, progress reports and the inundation of details that should continue to be maintained. Technology offers a lot of different solutions for this, from smartphones to date electronic book virtual assistants. But for many of us, nothing to bring order out of chaos better than a simple but efficient large cork board.
A lot of tech heads can laugh at this, questioned the effectiveness of such a simplistic tool against their high-tech notebooks, personal digital assistants and apps on their smartphones. Certainly, their devices do offer a lot of tools and options for the organization, but it's really different than having a visual performance of your duties pinned on a large cork board for you to look at instead of drop-down menus, pages browse Web or slide your finger over the confusing touch screens. A lot of people rely on visual memory and hard copies can be easily picked up and re-pinned and nothing is more obvious and attention grabbing than a large cork board and color coordinated string highlighted.
This is especially useful for presentations group discussions or when the size and interactive nature of the board of directors encourages groups to participate in the presentation or discussion and offers a singular point of reference that large amount of information. Teams can write directly on the pads and posted numbers instead of every file and put it permits sharing and editing via a network. There is more emphasis on discussions among the main issues and documents can be taken from the board and changed on the fly.
Using these low-carbon footprint option saves money, network installation and maintenance requires extra manpower and cost, small teams and start-up companies may use information with the board to centralize with a supervisor keeping track of new posts and keeping all information current and accessible to everyone. Basically, cork boards offer a low-tech but highly visual form of information gathering that removes itself from multifunctional gadgets with small screens, projectors and expensive complex software.
Sure, it's old school, but it is not in any way or form, obsolete. Not everyone can electronically track and in some areas and specific projects, a large cork board trumps a 32-inch LCD screen. And oh, replacing of a torn one costs less than the coffee you just bought team.

Therefore, many of the large African animals are not extinct?
How did animals like African elephants, black and white rhinos, hippos, African Buffalo, most of zebras, giraffes, lions, leopards, gorillas and chimpanzees do not go extinct, even after humans evolved in Africa and the continent been inhabited for thousands of years? Do these animals live further inland than man? Did they all live a reasonably balanced life? Why was not until recently that some of them were threatened? Why did the Quagga not go extinct until after Whitey came?
It appears that larger animals, such as larger people are simply less active than the smaller, and thus the larger African animals have simply not gotten around to go extinct yet. I am convinced that, any day now, and I should stop whining. Hope this helps!
