Linda Raschke Bradfore Focused on technicals
After spending six years trading on the floor, first on the Pacific Coast Stock Exchange and then the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, Linda Bradford Raschke shifted gears and moved to an off-floor office in 1987. After trading hours her own money a few years, she moved into the money management side of the business in early 1993. Raschke, with her partner Rick Genett, managing approximately $ 25 million.
Raschke calls himself a strictly technical trader. She has not even a news service in her office. Nevertheless, she says "It's a trader's responsibility to always be aware of background information. This situation is a fundamental such shortages or seasonal tendencies or just general items like that. But, what makes me pull the trigger and enter a position is strictly technical. "
While Raschke is now trading for about 15 years, is she still the same type of technical trading patterns. "I think the markets they are the same for the last hundred years. They are similar in that you go to an impulsive motion in the direction of the trend and you'll have pullbacks … There are still patterns to climax and consolidation patterns, "said them. "My decision-making and the patterns have not changed a bit," she added.
She is studying about 20 different markets, but tends to restrict marketing to her five or six markets simultaneously. "You get sloppy when you have more than five or six chances." Raschke looking for opportunities in both trending markets and sideways. "In trending markets, you find circumstances in which an uptrend the market moves from low to high. The best buying opportunity will come as no open than in the first hour, "she said.
