Pre-engineered Steel Buildings Sports new energy-efficient Colors
Steel building manufacturers now offer energy-efficient color options for pre-engineered buildings. As more and more people are looking for ways to do their part to save and protect the environment and reduce their carbon footprint, finding a cost-efficient manner to do this is not always easy.
Steel building manufacturers are now starting to "cool paints" to provide customers with an energy-efficient choice for the supply of pre-engineered commercial, industrial, agricultural and residential href = "http://www.olympiabuidings.com"> steel buildings while maintaining the appearance of the building or their bottom line.
Cool Chemistry AkzoNobel ® versions of Ceram-A-STAR ® 1050 coatings are formulated with solar reflective pigments that work to reflect infrared radiation. This means that less solar energy is transferred to the interior of a structure as heat compared to standard metal roofing coatings or traditional asphalt shingles. With their superior reflective properties, the Cool Chemistry ® series of Ceram-A-Star ® 1050 coatings act as a thermal barrier inside the buildings to keep cooler.
This "cool" coatings not only protect the environment, but also some money in the pocket by huge customer savings on energy bills. Energy costs for cooling can be reduced by up to 20% and peak cooling demand to 15 percent. These savings are realized by the pigmentation of the Cool Chemistry ® family of coatings that work to the amount of solar energy reflected to raise the roof. Less heat buildup in a structure uses less energy for cooling and works to reduce cooling costs.
Studies conducted by various federal agencies and independent organizations claim that a cool metal roof energy costs associated with cooling the interior of a building with up to 20% and reduce peak cooling demand by up to 15 percent. There are two important concepts to consider when talking about cool roofing: solar reflectance and thermal emittance. The most important of these is solar reflection. This is the percentage of solar energy reflected away from a surface. The higher the solar value the reflectance of a material, the more solar energy is reflected away. In the case of roofing, it means that the higher the solar reflectance value the larger the amount of heat energy is reflected away, and less heat energy is transferred to the inside of the building. Thermal emittance is a measure of how easily gives you an object stored heat.
It is well established that painted metal roofing has a high thermal emittance value compared to other roofing materials. For maximum cooling efficiency and maximum power you want the highest roof thermal emittance, with the highest solar reflectance. AkzoNobel Cool Chemistry ® family of products provide you with both properties. The Cool Chemistry ® series of coatings, the paint formula is optimized to achieve higher solar reflectance. The higher the sun gain of a material, the more solar energy is reflected. It should be noted that the better reflective qualities of our Cool Chemistry ® series are achieved without compromising long-term performance.
Traditional asphalt shingle roofs have a solar reflectance of about 10-20%, while cool metal roofs have a solar absorptance of up to 70%. This means that a cool metal roof could give up 70% of the energy of the sun away from the surface, with only 30% is absorbed. Shingles, on the other hand, will absorb 80-90% of the energy of the Sun The high solar reflectance of a cool metal roof translates into less heat transfer to the interior of a building, and less energy is for air conditioning and other cooling methods. AkzoNobel's Cool Chemistry ® series of coatings are warrantied against chipping, cracking, peeling and blistering, with a choice environment of twelve colors, and are designed to meet Energy Star guidelines for steep slope roofs.
The Energy Star designation means that energy-efficient "Cool" paint coatings for steel building will lower your cooling costs while helping will be good for the environment.

I do not think $ 43 is too much, but I've only heard a few of those authors. They look to be in great shape, which is even better. Whatever you do, try and not sell them at half price books! You get nothing!
