Toni and the Wizard of Oz
Fatigue. It started with endless fatigue. Not your garden variety, "Gosh, I am a bit run down the last few days," a little tired, either. I was involved in a relationship that left me exhausted, so I assumed it was to blame. After the relationship, I went into isolation for two months as an animal withdraws to heal in her cave. Shortly after I arrived, I noticed the fatigue had not declined, but it was this unexplained skin rash and cough at night.
I sought help from a fellow MD, she tested my thyroid. Results showed classical hypothyroidism. She was sure this was the culprit. At least put the fatigue. Somewhere in the fog of my own thoughts about my illness, I started the gray discoloration of my once pristine white linoleum floor and my complaints are.
I approached the property manager with my dilemma, which him the rash on my arms and legs. My first idea was his lack of surprise – he said that anyone who had lived there before me had complained of black mold on the walls. He instructed me to extinguish my floors in a fifty percent bleach solution. Little did I know that by following his instructions, I myself infected with the death response to a deadly mycotoxin.
Felt that a dermatologist would be unable to help, I decided to consult my acupuncturist. My sixth sense proved correct, because they saw a metallic smell from my body. Her diagnosis was that I was exposed to a kind of environmental toxin. Clearly speaking, I panicked. I came home and called my landlord explaining what the manager had instructed, along with the assessment of my doctor. To their credit, a
environmental consultant was sent immediately and there were samples.
While collecting samples, the consultant and I hit a call. He initially warned me that it would take two weeks to recover from the samples and that I would get that information from the landlord. Within minutes of telling him that my work is helping people find their vocation of fate, he told me his real dream was to become a writer. Perhaps some self-revelation to him moved because he revealed what he believed was in my house – a foreign word that was at the time, but would eventually as familiar to me as my own name – stachybotris.
"Stacky what?" I replied. "Stachybotris," he said dryly, "the black fungus. "My"-Inquiring minds want to know, "personality is committed." Is this the cause of my rash? "I asked, my voice trembling. "Yep," he said. "What should I do?" I cried. "You gotta get outta here, lady. This stuff kills people!" He gave me the name of a doctor call. The MD told me not to take with me that was porous, explaining that stachybotris is invisible until it reaches critical mass. So much so that 250,000 fungal spores occupy the space of the head of a pin.
My landlord has agreed to me in a motel. As I walked out the door of my beach house with the clothes on my back, I took a last look at my Battenburg lace and white wicker decor. Immediately I knew what was the hardest to leave the past was what tied me – my pictures, and a whole library of
books.
As a psychotherapist, I have dedicated my life to developing a therapeutic approach that this state, who embrace the virtual confronting calamities of life can bring. The journey that began at that time taught me the very lesson I was teaching others through my life quake model. I've learned to the loss as a rebirth into a more authentic life.
Despite my own depth of focus in this context, I could not set close to the maelstrom I finally was exposed to have come. A week after I moved to the motel that my house was two months, I gave a workshop based on my seven-stage model of moving crisis purpose to life. Every obstacle I could think of was presented to me during that week. I went my own ongoing intensive listening to my inner voice in the face of the dramatic results of a blood test and a grim medical prognosis for my recovery. I also have a lot of research on the internet, so I could be proactive in my own healing.
I started a protocol First to detox my body, more specifically, taking herbs and doctor administered intravenous glutathione to clean my liver. (The liver is the organ that purifiesthe body it can be very clogging of breathing in mycotoxins, such stachybotris.) I then got a prescription drug, cholestyramine, the supposedly binds the neurotoxin in the intestine. In my case it is literally tied themselves to the intestinal spasms and leaving me with an unbalanced colon.
Because stachybotris compromises the immune system, in my weakened state I I also contracted parasites who should be treated with antibiotics. After my detoxification phase is over I then had to address allergy and other immune-related symptoms, I was experience. I began a regimen of daily antioxidant intake, vitamin E, vitamin C, alpha-lipoic acid, essential fatty acids included, and chlorella.
Then the emotional detox. I took a good hard look at my life. While in meditation, I asked my inner guidance, "What was the function of this disease come into my life?" And came the reply. Like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, I was catapulted into an unknown area from Kansas. As someone who was very attached to her house and a beautiful setting, the trip I took led me to really understand the phrase "there is no place like home." I wear my house now and I like the tin man, the cowardly lion, the scarecrow, I discovered a more compassionate heart, more courage, and an intuitive mind.

The line is actually "I believe or in ghosts. "He's referring to the ghosts who live in the forest. By recognizing their existence rather than denying, he hopes to keep pacified so they do not angry and chase after him.
